The only thing left, is to see what IGA has in his plans.

Which probably won't be good plans, something that uses the touch screen in a completely ridiculous way. And I never said that nothing belongs on DS, just not Castlevania. To tell you the truth, I don't think any action/adventure/ games with a storyline belong on DS. It seems to me like DS is better for those ridiculous childish games, like something where you just use the touch screen to draw all day. I can't see a better way to use it.

I wouldn't say that, because i was thinking the same way back when the two first Castlevanias for GBA came out.

I was thinking that the GBA wasn't a good console for Castlevania games, until Aria of Sorrow came out as the last Castlevania on GBA and i changed my mind about GBA and it's capabilities and remember that we didn't know anything about this game for a long time.

So i think and i want to believe that the same thing is going to happen this time.

P.S.: IGA if you read this, please make my dream come true!

you lose, Good day sir.

that is one of the biggest cop outs excuses in the video game industry.

Both Castlevanias on DS owned, they got overly positive reviews from top video game critics that don't nitpick them apart, and the touch screen as been used effectively in many coherent games, such as Star Fox Command. isn't it more comfortable flying a ship with the stylus instead of using the D Pad?

and the only reason sisters mode sucked is because it was so bare bones. I think with a few tweaks, that kind of game play could work (don't automatically regenerate MP while on the ground, the characters don't fly [in which case, up or the left shoulder button would be jump], and have interaction with a partner to do combo attacks)

I have high hopes for the next DS game, let them take their time and see if they can top their previous efforts.

I'm sure IGA will try something different with the new DS game, but it will probably have similar graphics as DoS and PoR.

I think DS is an excellent platform for just about any typ of game, and ESPECIALLY castleroids. It's great to have the map availible at all times for example.

I just wish the games were a little longer. Drac's castle needs to be bigger.

I never said the DS CV's sucked, they were pretty cool. Actually, it was PoR that got me back into Castlevania. I just would have prefered them on something that only has one screen, like, you know, the rest of the world? Two screens make me dizzy.

Castlevania was always about the skill, not numbers though. It's not final fantasy (yet, but it's getting there).

It's not getting close to FF. You're being dramatic. The 2 screens is great for stats and the map. It's very convenient

I'll agree with shelverton that the new Castlevania games need to get bigger and i'll agree also with serio about that Castlevania games are about skill and not numbers and that's because at old castlevania's you were relying only at your skills to survive and i hope that we will see some refresh graphics at the new one!!!!!!

Before Dracula X Chronicles came out on the PSP, I thought DS was the best console for Castlevania. DS has short loading times, responsive and very good controls, another screen to view map/stats.

PSP on the other hand can offer much better visual and audio quality which is both very important for a Castlevania game.

To me, the most valuable things in Castlevania are music, gothic visuals, Ayami`s art - it all creates a fantastic mood!

It also gets hundreds of useless weapons and items that do nothing but boost your stats. No cool effects like in sotn, just +5 to def or +9 to str. :\

Not to mention the recent heroes are even more of whiny emos than before, with jonafag getting up to ff standards, including his ridiculous cloud'esque, only much lamer hair.

Overreacting much serio? For one thing, Jonathan
-----------------------------------------------
Nowadays you are either a graphics whore or a fanboy. BR is Shank not CV. It is ridiculous to think that it is better than CV. If it was CV then it would be what RE4 is to Resi, a series killer. Dumb it down and make it look pretty. Enough idiots will buy it.

From all this opinions that i have read, i'll like to say that the series need to get refreshed with new game play elements, scenario, music, graphics and the design of characters or the number of equipment isn't a bad think for the series that needs to change.

Just remember the last old school Castlevania and when Symphony came out! I was left speechless when i saw the first screens from the game at a games magazine, that i went and made them posters for my room.

That was something new and awesome. So if IGA can do the same thing with this game or at least if he can't with this one with the new ones for the next gen consoles.

If he don't do that, then the series will die and it will be a same. Also Castlevania  isn't like FF and that's because unlike castlevania that is dying having the same formula, it's FF is different from each other at game play, scenario and characters!

LOL, there's nothing more hilarious than Serio at a PoR-bashing thread! It gets to the point where he just throws out whatever he thinks of. Jonathan and Cloud have the same hair? I think not!
