Not what you think you perverts  :P

Has anyone ever attempted going thru Symphony with absolutely no equipment/weapons/magic (just using Al's fists & kicks)? Is it hard or flaccid? o.o;

You won't win. No clothes or weapons is one thing, but some enemies/bosses won't be realistically beatable without a weapon or magic.

I personally haven't tried (sounds too daunting for poor little me!) but the internet HAS! Though this one is using spells.  :-\

Boxing in Sotn can be fun, but also boring. Try for example to beat Legion with fists only. Or Beelzebub - I think it's impossible to do this, unless you're using magic or sub-weapons.

Like others have said before me, this sounds both really boring and impossible.

However, I am very willing to give it a try if I ever need to kill time.

I tried this one time.

Made it all the way to the Doppelganger fight and found it impossible to beat him.

Eventually just gave up.

hehe

i just find it funny how people are always shitting on Symphony all the time on how it's "too easy," so i thought it'd be interesting to see how people felt if they played it without using all the goodies the game throws at them, playing with little to no upgrades/equipment & see how far you get
i'm sure they'll be singing a different tune then, interesting to gauge some reactions on how people feel about it. i'm thinking on trying this myself (since I play through Symphony at least once every couple years)

or how about, just use the "rusty sword" and nothing else. maybe the leather shield, too, for a real "hardcore" CV experience eh?

another challenge i'd like to see is a playthrough of ReBirth, 1 life, classic controls, hard mode.

Every once in a while I play through one of these and just forget to equip armor. It's not quite the same but it makes me play more carefully.

Uh, hard is one thing, impossible is another.

I don't think you'll be able to kill Beelzebub without something to reach him with. I could be wrong in it, but I think his body is out of reach normally. Then there's doppelganger, though I would have thought he'd be possible, but he wouldn't if he has a farther reach and will hit you every time before you can reach him. Again, speculation on my part, but if that is the case. It is impossible.

Personally, I don't think self limiting makes it difficult, just boring.

Here is the solution. Go Naked with AL. But you are allowed use of all useable items. this will help u just the tiniest bit more to make it less boring. Im agreeing with the impossible call too unless u grinded for bwaka knives for like a year lol

My first playthrough of  PoR I primarily just used the whip because I missed it so much from previous CV titles at the time. Yeah it sucked until the end, but damn that nostalgia felt good! So I kind of know the feels....kind of.

Alucard should be able to do that diagonal jump-kick to hit the doppleganger, if I'm not mistaken.

Yea but that doesn't do much damage.

Especially since you don't have any armor or equipment that increases anything.

Your also especially weak against his attack.

Trust me, I tried it continuously.

The title of this thread was misleading, hehe... :)

I don't think I can do SotN without any weapons or powers.
Now I'm tired, eternally walking... forever dying, and never stopping. I feel in sorrow, all I see is white. I’m following a blind way beneath a sad sky.
