Mercurysteam's original darling just got released on gog, and is ready to take the world by storm. Back when it was Rebel Act Studios, it sought to prove to the world the mettle of the Spanish with their extensive arsenal of western fantasy pulp.

I remember playing the game awhile back, but because my computer was so MODERN, there were a lot of issues, but once I got through that, I found myself in a marvelous world of goblins.

The game's actually intriguing and was pretty daring at the time of release. It had pretty involved combat, and it had goblins. People compare the combat to Dark Souls all the time. It's also nice because its sensibilities are still grounded in the design of 90's action titles, so the level design still has a sense of less restraint than modern titles, even if it's still very linear. Plus, I think it shares some artists as Lords of Shadow, and the story even mentions Lords and etc.

This is probably the prequel of Lords of Shadow basically.

Interesting...I didn't like Lords of Shadow much, but is this better?

it's different.

the level design is still largely just switch puzzles and isolated fights tho. ofc, sometimes it has nonlinearity and shortcuts at parts too.
