So, what exactly is the "Necromantic Wars"

In concept of belief, there is one thing that boggles my mind when it comes to sheer terms of the LoS's direction and storyline. Claudia and Zobek (and some Monster bios) speak of something known as the "Necromantic Wars", it is the concept and belief that this was a serious event that took place in the time-line that, from just a hunch, that most likely sparked an event and war between the three dark lords to fight amongst themselves before they took their truce with their share of their "Power."

So, speak of which this is all in theory -

So what exactly do you think what this war had fathomed? Did it take place before they became the dark lords? In other words, did this happen when the three founders had to  fight and put away The Forgotten One, or did this happen after? Because during one of the scrolls from the Resurrection DLC A brotherhood knight said "Beware of the beast of Aghhh"... Was he speaking of the beast of Agharta? Because as Claudia stated - that the city was under an endless attack of  Lycanthropes, and then of course the balance changed when goblins, trolls and then "creatures of nightmare" began to attack the city.

Was in fact creatures of the Shadow Plane? Was Zobek commanding legions of undead (zombies...etc) and was Carmillia unleashing a wave of vampiric threat? This is one story that makes all the difference and honestly I wish would be more explained.

What are you thoughts and why? The reason why is because I am putting together a very careful detailed timeliine/plot analyst for the story from a fans perspective in order to unshadow the events in which are taking place with this current reboot.

"The Beast of Arrghh" is a Monty Python reference, nothing more. There's several other Monty Python references so I guess Dave Cox or the programmers are fans of Monty Python.

Anyway from what I remember the Necronomiconmantical Wars was a series of battles between the Lycan race & the Aghartians that happened centuries prior to the start of LoS. They constructed the Titans to combat the Lycans, many died, etc. etc. The Forgotton One had no role in this event, or none that has been revealed & prolly never will be since he was just a plot device for Gabriel & nothing more. I don't recall the Brotherhood having any role in these wars, there was no scroll detailing their role if any so anything anybody says is just speculation. But I'm pretty certain it all took place beforerr Zobek, Carmilla and Cornel performed their ritual & ascended to Heaven.

So umm yeah that's all i could gather from the stuff they gave us. As for fan theory? I suspect Rinaldo is also an Aghartian and maybe helped in engineering the Titans

Do note that the Lycans came about FROM Cornell.

The Necromantic wars were when Cornell settled down and his hordes invaded Agharta.

So it is at some time after the Lords rose from their Human remains. Likely more than a year or two, given that Cornell managed to amass enougn werewolves to the point where Agharta was overrun and defeated by them DESPITE the Titans they had created for the explicit purpose of fighting off the invasion.

I think the Necromantic wars were the first attack of the Lords of Shadow, that being because Cornell created werewolves just like Carmilla created vampires (as each animal was a dark mirror image of their benevolent beings, for example, bats hates light and kill, human Carmilla was  woman of light and life etc). The wars probably ended with the "treat of peace" Zobek talked about in the ending, so it could be infered that the Necromantic wars was a battle fought by and against the Three Lords of Shadow.

Anyone in the mood to tweet Cox/Alvarez about this?

Everything comes full circle

I agree with the theory that the "Necromantic Wars" were wars between the Lords of Shadow. The Aghartians were likely caught in the middle and created the titans to defend themselves (they don't seem to have been powerful enough to protect the civilization though). It is likely that at some point during the wars, the Lords of Shadow realized that as long as they each fought alone, no one would ever be able to conquer the others, yet they hated and distrusted the others so much that no one would team up. As a result, you had a clear stalemate between the three of them. With that in mind, they called a truce and merely kept to themselves.

If and two of them had teamed up to destroy the other, it is likely the less depleted of the remaining two would destroy the other. Hence, the stalemate.

NEKRomantik is a 1987 West German horror film directed by Jörg Buttgereit. This frequently controversial movie, banned in a number of countries, has become a cult film over the years due to its transgressive subject matter (including necrophilia) and audacious imagery. A documentary, Corpse Fucking Art, which used footage shot during the making of this film, Der Todesking and Nekromantik 2 was released in 1991. This film is currently banned outright in Iceland, Norway, Malaysia, Singapore, and the provinces of Nova Scotia & Ontario in Canada. In 1992, The Australian Classification Board banned the film outright in Australia due to "graphic necrophilia content" and the film is still banned. In 1993, The film was later banned in Finland. The film was banned outright by the Office of Film and Literature Classification (New Zealand) in 1999 due to "revolting, objectionable content (necrophilia, high impact violence, animal cruelty and abhorrent behavior). The film is banned in a number of other countries as well.

Trust me, this movie is not worth sitting through. You'd think with a title, poster art, and synopsis as good as it has that it'd be a fun romp in the park, right?

No. The director took the most serious, art film approach and the end results are so boring that you'll wish you'd never even heard of the thing.

I just brought a pox upon you all. *Grimaces*

Thanks Lelygax! I never thought I'd get to see a naked girl masturbate with a corpse in my lifetime, let alone right here on these forums! You've brought more into my life in one post than IGA did in over 20 games!

Yeah, that's a boring movie.  :-\ Suicidal orgasm was... psychoanalytically interesting, though.

(no i didn't watch it all, just skipped around looking for the smut)
