why play two clones of symphony of the night in a celular? original games is horrible, for celular they sure play equal of order of shadows and have heroes of anime.

Order of Shadows looks terrible but I think I've played worse. The game probably has potential that could only be realized in a complete re-haul. XD  Hmm... tempted to try and get a hold of it.  I don't mind 'bad' games so long as I don't get stuck every five seconds *shakes fist at Milon's Secret Castle.*

You have your opinion and I have my opinion, and my opinion is that your opinion and your attitude both suck.

This is not the Lords of Shadow forum.  This is the Castlevania forum for fans of the SERIES.  If you don't understand that then you don't belong here.

Man, if this is how you are about people's different tastes in games I'd hate to try and talk politics with you. >_>

Totally agree! The execution is definitely limited by the hardware, but the ideas they introduced have potential. Also, I commend them for trying to flesh out a time period we previously knew nothing about. Some actual Belmont women in the story and Simon's daddy? Yes, please!
I've had urges to remake this game, too. It has lots of potential.

While there were two Belmont women in the game not one of them was the heir to the Vampirekiller. It was a wasted opportunity.

You are wrong. The original Aria of Sorrow is excellent, and I personally love Dawn of Sorrow too. The mobile versions are disappointing and not nearly as good as the original games, but they're alright for what they are.

Order of Shadows is bad, but I like the music in the first level. And it's at least better than Mirror of Fate, as I'm sure you would agree with.

YUP, I love the Somavanias too! OoS is better than MoF.

I'll await that remake.  :)

I'd say yes we have, and Shiroi-chan is definitely trolling.

Don't really see why everyone bashes OoS, it needs due credit for having original music available alternatively (not sure if MoF does)... Desmond was easier to control to me than Chris was on GB. I dont remember falling every 4.5 seconds in that game. I dont hate CVA i just never beat it and it gives me chills... **begin trolling**kinda like ecco the dolphin; i enjoyed it thoroughly swimming, jumping out the water and all... soon as u hit a fish this scary music comes on... Never knew what happens after that because i was young and just turned of the sega**end trolling**

- Original SHITTY music. It's really awful by any standards. It's simply bad... no... it's worse. (MoF does have original soundtrack)
- The controls are worse than the GB castlevanias.

Sound quality wise Maedhros, how would you compare this to say HoD? Also keep in mind each devices capabilities.

(MoF does have original soundtrack)

I think he meant if MoF has the original music from the old games like OoS has as an unlockable. And, no, MoF doesn't. Not one single remix.

To be honest, I didn't like Order of Shadows, nor I liked its music.

But there are some things I liked about it...
The first stage theme has potential to make a good track, but I find it lacking in composition. The chord progression lacks emotion to what it makes an emotional and powerful Castlevania first stage theme. But it has the potential. The composers were, according to the review from this site, a bunch of newcomers, or something like that :P
So, it's understandable.
The final level theme is very beautiful, but I don't know if it's an actual original theme or a classical one. One way or the other, it was the highest point of my experience with the game.

About the gameplay, I couldn't play it with a phone. I acquired a phone exclusively for a single Castlevania game, since my previous phone didn't supported it. And I was highly disappointed. But I see potential for (like others said) a remake, with better gameplay and more levels.
I wasn't able to finish the game (I'm not good playing with numerals), so I ended up emulating it a few days after buying the new phone. I beat the game, and I really didn't like it, but I don't know how they could have make it better with the mobile technology of that times.

About the Sorrow mobile games, taking into account that they are mobile versions of great NDS games, I think they fared pretty well. You have to take them for what they are and not compare them to their NDS counterparts.

And last, about Order of Shadows being better than Mirror of Fate... I don't want to create discussion, but I think that's going a little too far. Mirror of Fate may not be what I expect from Castlevania, but it is better than Lords of Shadow in my opinion, and it has some redeeming elements, at least to my tastes (nice backgrounds and details, some stages, nods to past games, and a touching story), and that's a lot more about what I can say about Order of Shadows.
I think Mirror of Fate is a game way, way better than Order of Shadows.
Although, I find the comparison a little unfair. One is for an 8th generation portable console, and the other for old java cellphones.
I'd like to see full remake of Order of Shadows, if possible for 3DS, and only then the comparison would be fair (in that case, I think I'd be more inclined to my traditional Castlevania type of game, but that's only hypothetical so far).

Sorry for the long post.

Edit: Changed "I think Mirror of Fate is a game way, way better than Mirror of Fate" for "I think Mirror of Fate is a game way, way better than Order of Shadows".
I used the same name twice in the phrase  :P
