Well...
If this is true, this isn't good news.
As much as I'd like the canon to be continued, if the only thing they plan to do is make 1 or 2 games and finish it for good, then that is sad.
Worse than that: if they decided to alternate the two timelines, those of us who MISS SO MUCH the original timeline, we would have to ENDURE 2 or 3 years or alternate timeline each time. That means that the Castlevania kind of game we like to have, may come out every 5 years, or more.
When we used to have one per year (though that was unrealistic).
And even worse than that: they said that alternating two timelines would be illogical, so they apparently decided to establish a universe and make all unconnected stories, like Final Fantasy...
If the FF current state is the future of our beloved CV, that is the saddest thing.
I'm already imagining, no more CV characteristic soundtrack... no more sprites... no more episodes in the main timeline... no more identity (like what happened to FF)... in short, no more Castlevania.
Just a bunch or third party games with the brand attached to them, with nothing to do with each other, and nothing to do with the original canon. And with this I don't mean just Iga games, but everything from year 1 to year 25.
