I guess generally anime fans like H, but common guys prefer to watch girl on girl instead of traditional "movies".
But I could be wrong.

My mother watches guyxguy porn.  I'm not kidding. She complains that they need better plots. :P

Speaking for myself, I always find these kind of love stories between the same sex way more interesting that traditional ones.

Dat forbidden romance.  ;)

But in comedy, the ecchi component generally adds more fun in great quantities, and some great laughs, at least to me.

And I agree. Ecchi is fairly light on the sex scale of anime. I've seen plenty of anime with ecchi in it and it does add to the humor of said shows. But Hentai on the other hand is fairly, if not heavy on the sex scale where the stories become lost in translation or there is really no story to begin with. And yes I do watch Hentai from time to time but only if I'm in the mood for it  :-[  And I'm usually very selective about the type of hentai that I might enjoy too.  :-[ :-[

There's no shame on that, I've been watching (mainly reading doujinshis) since I was a teenager.
And I'm selective too  ;)

I also am selective since not everything that comes out of the market is good.
And things with lots of sex typically have no plot.

I agree with that.
That's why I always prefer ecchi.

Halfway through the game, and nothing more happened in terms of ecchi / shounen-ai / etc., with the only exception of a catgirl covered only by a super-hyper short dress with very revealing parts on it.
But nothing (so far) about the male lead character exploring that side of his feelings.
It seems he will go for the girl, after all.
Poor Crow  :'(

That's pretty common nowadays in anime/manga.  Writers ship-tease a gay pairing and then will usually have one or more of the following happen:
1. One of the two dies/is taken out of the equation altogether.
2. One of the two ends up with someone else.
3. It's just never mentioned again.

Mirai Nikki springs to mind immediately. Heck, one could argue that Castlevania has touched on this.

That is why if you really like a gay pairing and hate the official tease-neglect-heartache, go for the doujins or fanfictions. hehehe.

Heehee... Totally.
But it would have been nice to see one of those endings on a game.

That's the thing that kind of annoys me. They tease us and then they can't do it because "it's not right" or whatever they think, I don't know.
Castlevania? In my mind always  :P
But in a game... I've been thinking but I can't figure it.
When was it?

You bring up a good point.  Games, unlike books or movies, can easily incorporate alternate endings without it feeling contrived or having it break the flow.

Maybe it's just my shipper goggles but I got serious ho yay vibes from Juste and Maxim to the point where it felt like Lydie was written in purely as an attempt to avoid following through, like I stated above. XD

Other one (and this one is more obvious, imo) is from the radio drama.  Don't see how anyone could read that and not get that vibe from Lyudmil.  Only thing that would make him more obvious would be if he tattooed "Please screw me Master Alucard" across his forehead. And again, what happened to Lyudmil?

That radio drama! I was so ecstatic with the voice actors then... Lyudmil... /sob
We all know the reason why. sigh....
Maria should have been the one that died. (I'm in a shipping mood, so forgive me)

I'm with you on this, though for more than just shipping reasons. I don't like Maria's character and more than that, it would make for a better story if Maria had died or better yet, if she had come to the conclusion that a relationship between the two of them would not work out because of Alucard's hang-ups over his own blood and her inability to even begin to understand him as a person.

AlucardxLyudmil is just the really, really big bonus on top of that.  ;D
