Classic Castlevania gameplay will not translate well at all to a touch input only system. If they want to capitalize on Castlevania for mobile platforms they need to make a game from the ground up that works intuitively with touch, but has the same emotional elements the series is known for.Something like "Castlevania The Arcade" would nicely qualify for this actually. Nothing else comes to mind particularly, but I haven't given it much thought.
I play classic CV games all the time on my iPhone. Some are harder to get used to than others but with the right aspect ratio options and button options, it's really not that difficult to get used to. I agree though, something built from the ground up with a touch screen in mind would be perfect, but it's not hard playing the older games on a touch screen.
It's not that it's hard, it's that it's shit/bad. Having no feedback is fucking ridiculous.
As I've said before, the setting and characters have a lot of potential. The platform it was on, well... what everyone else already said is descriptive enough.
