I can't say I disagree; but at the same time, you have to consider that Big Boss' voice would change as he aged. He sure didn't sound like his 1964 self at the end of Guns of the Patriots, so what's wrong with having his voice change now? It's not like Hayter's obligated to continue the voicework, much as we might like him to.

Agreed. Big Boss's voice actor in MGS4 was Richard Doyle so they have to have some go-between now that Big Boss is already getting up there. David Hayter cannot do his voice cause it just wouldn't fit with what's already been established by MGS4. And also Solid Snake isn't an exact clone of Big Boss either. So while David Hayter did Old Snake, Big Boss naturally had another voice done for him. Solidus snake on the other hand sounded a lot like Big Boss even though he was voiced by John Cygan.

it's said GZ is short, but it's long enough to be epic and replayable in itself.  Some people complain, but it's not like it costs $60.   Plus this is the most advanced MGS with new engine and tech.   And the story is very important part of MGSV.   I'd say true fans would get it.

Yeah Ground Zeroes Main Campaign is going to be short [It is the Prologue after all]. KONAMI did make a big deal by doing the full press release for Metal Gear Solid V last year stating that their would be 2 Titles released carrying the MGS V logo : Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain so at least those in the know will know that they are buying the Prologue and not The Main Game.

Yup. Its The Prologue for MGS V The Phantom Pain. Remember The Tanker Chapter form MGS 2 SOL or The Virtuous Mission from MGS SE now imagine those 2 being released independently from the main game as a Micro Game.

As long as it's in the $15-20 price range I really don't see what all the fuss is about...
I guess Kojima showed this off first and people assumed it was going to be a full fledged game, I can understand that...
I expected Bioshock Burial at sea pt 1 to be good, I got 2 hours and a slap in the face when it started to get interesting.
Let's hope Ground Zeroes doesn't slap you in the face but brings the MGSV hype train.

The Digital Editions run like this

PS3 Digital $20.00
PS4 Digital $30.00
XBox 360 Digital $20.00
XB1 Digital $30.00

The Physical Editions run like this

PS3 $29.96
PS4 $29.99
XBox 360 $29.96
XB1 $29.99

So you have eight different options for purchasing the MGS V Prologue. On the rest of what you said if you weren't aware that KONAMI was marketing Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain as 2 separate Titles under The Metal Gear Solid V Logo you would assume that Ground Zeroes was the main game.

Ground Zeros should be bundled with the main game and not a separate digital release. Like I said in the best and worst ideas of gaming history; 'The internet is the bane of modern gaming.'

The PS3 of the house is currently broken and the only game I really want to play for the foreseeable future is MGS5. So, the release date doesn't hurt me too bad. Unfortunately I still haven't finished MGS4 out of all the console releases and kinda feel bad just skipping it. I really just did not enjoy it that much. I feel like some sort of peasant skipping a game though.

So, I haven't been keeping up with this a whole lot and I just have a few questions. Is Ground Zeroes and Phantom pain both MGS 5 or do they complete one big story that I'll need both games for? Finally isn't one of them coming out this month?

Yes, Think of Ground Zeroes as the Tanker Mission in MGS2 and I think so...
