Help me find a comic-book style game

Okay, so I'm searching for a particular video game, this is an old game from my childhood, probably 1995-1997, totally forgot its name.

So basically the game is a 2D beat-em-up game WHICH PLACES YOU INSIDE OF A COMIC BOOK. The main character is a superhero who is tossed into a comic book frame and then has to move from one frame to the other, fighting enemies who jump out of the frames. I have no doubt if I hear the name I'd instantly remember, but this was over 10 years ago, I lost the game and totally forgot.  :P

EDIT: Nevermind, found it. But now I make this a riddle. I wonder if other people heard of it.

Comix Zone was cool.

I sucked at Maximum Carnage (was on Genesis too). Three bosses at once in one fight, if I remember right. I think that was as far as I made it. Carnage would appear and rape my ass.

Another comic-styled game was Wolverine for the SNES and Genesis. Those not in playing style like Comix Zone, it had comic-like cut scenes that progressed the story. The art-style used in the Genesis version was a little strange as wolverine's look was very caveman-esque whenever we saw his side profile. He was featured better in the SNES version.

Hell yeah, you nailed it, Crisis. Apparently this game is better-known than I thought.  8)

I feel most people who like Maximum Carnage are just biased because the OST was composed by none other than Green Jelly.

Maximum Carnage! Opening Song

Not that anyone couldn't be.

I had no clue who Green Jelly was back then, but I loved the game.

And yeah, the opening music was kinda catchy too.

It's Green Jellÿ, not Green Jelly.

I actually kinda liked MC for the graphics. Although it didn't have enough move variety for me. I did like Venom's two-head smash move where he stuck his arms out, the symbiont oozed out, wrapped around the enemies on either side, then slammed them into each other. Spidey did the same thing, but Venom's looked cooler, I thought.

I loved that game.  Probably only played as Spiderman a handful of times.  Anyone remember Dinosaurs for Hire?
