Asking Konami to bring Castlevania games on PC ?

Hello, so i know that many of us discover old Castlevanias through "emu"(not advocating it nor blaming it) but i have always hoped there would be a way to have all old Castlevanias legally on PC.
I saw on Amazon a Contra+Castlevania collection that has three Castlevania games, but there is only one copy of it at 25 dollars in import.
I know that on Steam, Sega has  aleady broughta lot of old games available, like Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, etc.
Would you be a potential buyer if Konami released a compilation of, at least all old consoles games(except Gameboy games maybe)?
Do you think a petition could work? I dont know if Dungeons Admins have contacts with Konami Staff, like some official fansites do.

I know the odds are against me but i would really be interested in getting all those games legally on pc, for a reasonable price of course.

More recently, many players would happily buy Mirrors of Fate on PC, since LoS is now available.

I would definitely be down for that. I'd love being able to boot up Rondo from Steam, or somesuch.

I would buy a collection if it's retail and I can have the physical copy in my hands, with box, manual and everything. Even if it's expensive, because it is Castlevania, so I would save for it. I really don't see the point in paying for something in Steam when I can download it for free and when the experience is the same. The worst that can happen is that you have to install some fix or crack. But I like to get something that I can hold with my hands when I pay for something.

If it's for a retail collection, you can count with me. There was a petition some time ago, though, which didn't work.

We've been begging for a Castlevania compilation for years.  It happened with Sonic, Megaman, Metal Slug, and how many other series - it should be able to happen for Castlevania too.

I don't care about physical copies, really.

I'd like an anthology in Steam or just launching off the desktop so that I didn't have to dig through cartridges, disc cases and what not to play a legitimate copy (or to swap controller profiles in XPadder). I'd just like to have most of the series launchable from a single executable.

Physical copies are great until you have to move. Then they're just extra bulk and weight and wasted time spent remembering which box you put what in.

Well, Konami is Developing more for the PC, MGR was supposed to be on PC eventually and there are MGS5 PC Dev applications, on top of that the LoS Saga will soon be on PC...
I bet they are looking into Sales before making a move...

I hope you are right, but I wouldn't bet on it, since it's Konami we're talking about.
From another standpoint, it is sad that the first collection they had the dignity of releasing is a half-baked incomplete collection for a CV spin-off (LoS), when there were plenty of possibilities...
Collection of MetroidVanias, of ClassicVanias, of exploration games, of CV 1 remakes, of NES trilogy, of GB trilogy, of GBA trilogy, of NDS trilogy, of both N64 games, of both SNES games, of all 16-bits games, of Dracula X games, of Japan exclusives, of unreleased games, of non-canon games, of Sorrow games, of WW games, of IGA games, of Kojima games, of alternate stories, of other CV media (not games)... or the best one, that one including every game from 1986 to 2009.
But no, they keep neglecting and forgetting about CV.
We must be the most faithful fanbase, given how they don't care about us and how we stay there forever, waiting for anything.

of unreleased games

Impossible to release a collection of something unreleased. Unless you mean unseen material, like concept art and music. That would be awesome but very difficult to happen. :)

No, I meant unreleased in the west. The 3 Pachislot games, the Arcade game and the Medal game.
Of course I'd love to get my hands on some beta of Resurrection and Bloodletting.
But I even doubt we'll see ANY colection some day, so that's impossible, because it's the most distant of all the possibilities I've spoke of.

Oh, these titles really need to be ported for a console.

I would only need a bit of training though, to avoid using any quicksave feature for old Platform castlevanias. I remember some silly levels with water in Castlevania 3^^^

I wouldn't hold your breath. Unless Konami remade them, I doubt they'd be worth the time and cost of putting them out (especially as a physical thing) for them. Just be glad you can play them all for free and without having to buy anything else besides a PC.

Well Sega did so with a lot of their games and they didnt seem to spend much effort/money in it. Basically its as if they had added an emu to make the stuff work.
