Seems like their little idea got rigged or something. Now they are rerunning it. First if you will remember they sent out pretty defective beta consoles which were more like alpha consoles. Some kickstarters didn't even get a console until AFTER release. Then once people had the consoles, a good amount of the games were pretty poor in a variety of ways. Now this Free The Games débâcle. Things don't look good for Ouya. At first I was rooting for them because I thought the goal was to have a console for the fans by the fans. But this seems like one huge screw up unfortunately. Many people knew from the start Ouya was a scam or a failure. But will it get better? I doubt it. Then again I'm known to be pessimistic.

Looking at this picture ^ can you really take her seriously?

I mean yeah looks aren't everything but it just seems like she's trying more marketing tactics more than actually tangibly helping the console.

I mean in a way its sad because she really hyped everyone up on some new gaming revolution or something. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way. Thing is most people smelled the BS she spewed out a mile away.

Her face reminds me of Ann B. Davis' (the house Maid) from the Brady Bunch  :P

Being serious now, Im really disappointed for now, lets see what happens next.

I will say this much, this is a freaky ad they've got:

"Sixty bucks for a game?" - Ouya ad

I will agree games should cost less money but I mean still a crappy game that costs 3 bucks is still as much of a waste of money as a crappy game that costs 70 bucks. Of course you're not losing as much on your investment but to lay out any amount of money, the game should still be a great game. I've seen games that are fun to play for free so I mean its possible to have interesting titles at a low cost. Ouya on the other hand its pretty much a crapshoot. For every 2 games that are decent there's a good 15 that suck. So yeah with everything they are doing, they really need to focus less on trying to look cool and hip and more on actually producing great games to download and fixes for their console as well as whatever deals and promotions they have.

This ad is disgusting, also because of this content and words it will never appear on TV or be seen by kids, they are complete retards.

Atleast it will be footage for a AVGN episode in... 15~20 years from now?
If I buy a Ouya someday it will be only if I have a LOT of spare money and it will be only for Final Fantasy 3, some indie games (like 5) and emulation. Unless their scenario changes.

It also says something about what they think about gamers. If this commercial is supposed to be showing what the average gamer is like than apparently, we're all dishevelled looking guys who drink beer and sit around in our underwear all day weeping over the cost of games. Also the vomit and crying factor makes absolutely no sense nor is it as amusing as they probably thought it would be.

Im being dead serious, I think they watched a AVGN episode and thought it was fun because of vomit and diarrhea scenes (well, they make the episode funnier, but because its not out of context and its done right), then did a commercial based on that. Talking about bad games, prices and vomit.
