I'm gonna start reviewing games, hope you guys enjoy.

Today's Game: Gone Home

Synopses:
you arrive at home to an empty house, and learn about your family while you are away...
(click to show/hide)

Concept of play:
Not too complex, you explore an empty house searching for clues to what happened to your family, almost like fallout, but more realistic, and no combat.

Strong points:
The story unfolds in a very interesting manner with a natural feel of progression, the narrative comes off pretty realistic
The house is well done, you can believe that people lived there really well...

Weak points:
The story is based mostly off of one member of your family....
(click to show/hide)
Incredibly short; I was done in about an about an hour and a half...

Verdict:
This game is really good, but not really deserving of a GOTY title, it's short and well, $20 is very steep for a game like this, the story can only do so much, and doesn't help that it's one of those "one playthrough is enough" games.

I recommend picking up this game during a sale, it's definitely worth a play, but not worth a high price.

-----------

with later reviews I will implement a number or star system, but for now, enjoy it.

also I will take requests.

Yeah, the short length of the game is really ridiculous. I've heard people can beat it in under 2 minutes by accident.

Yes you can, all secret areas are accessible before you can find out about them, I tested it and you in fact can beat the game in 2 minutes flat.

It sounds like the game designers forgot to remove that key before the game was finalized. That's the kind of thing you have when testing the game in Beta mode.

oh no, it's not like that at all, They went with an approach of everything being accessible from the start, but you wont discover it until you given the hint, like real life, unfortunately, they just happened to to it to one of the last areas which happens to be in the first area after you unlock the front door...

Personally, I would love to see a game with the exact same concept but only with a mystery Plot, the setting was just too perfect for a thriller-style story...

My next review is on the way... just deciding on which game should be reviewed...
