Bringing all available and future 2d Castlevanias on PC

Ok guys, odds that is idea works are low, i know it. But i definitely have the dream to see one day all 2D castlevania games ported on PC, and to see Konami make Castlevania 2d games for PC.Dark Souls came on PC thanks to a petition, and  after all, it doesnt cost anything to give a try.

All my favourite Castlevania games are 2D, and i am fond of Metroidvanias. I didnt buy a console because pc games are cheaper nowadays, and i feel its a shame to have no castlevania on PC.(i dont mention emu since its not legit)

For example, we could invite Alvarez or Igarashi to discuss with members on the forum, and talk them about the idea.Or contact an employeee from Konami.

Some wikias succeed in getting interviews with game developers, so maybe this could be possible.

Well, you do see a lot of Sega Genesis games for sale on the Steam store. I can't see Konami putting the games up for sale that way  though. It would make too much sense.

All Castlevania games can be played on the PC except for three that I know of. Harmony of Despair, Mirror of Fate, Castlevania the Arcade Game.

Just do what i did. Own a physical copy of almost every Castlevania game and the console it plays on. Problem solved forever :)

It's a little costly, but it's a permanent solution. And yeah.. Emulators.

You're referring to the infamous 'Castlevania Anthology'. We had such a thread about that two years ago or so.

People have been clamoring for a Castlevania Anthology for over fifteen years now. I gave up hope for such a thing a long time ago, ha ha.

But if one DID ever get made, dicks will be punched if the whip-cracking first-person arcade game isn't included.

I would like it for a different reason than what people might first think of: PC games are easier for the fan community to mod than roms are to hack (those past the NES ones anyway). If a few of the games were ported, maybe it would allow people to more easily create redesigned castles to get more unique experience out of the existing games.

It's far more difficult to make a game from scratch than mod an existing one.
