Topic: PSP-1000 replacement battery recommendations?

My friend's PSP-1000 battery has died. There are a few official Sony choices, and a lot of third-party choices, though many of the third-party companies don't have much history behind them it seems. Does anyone know if the non-Sony batteries work as well? Are there any you would recommend? Or recommend to avoid? Thanks.

Personally I don't rely on the battery. I've always used the power adaptor whenever I've gotten a new handheld system.
