Carmilla movie trilogy

I figured this would be of interest to CV fans who haven't seen these films, and it might be fun to discuss what, if any, influence these films may have had on the CV version of Carmilla. For those who haven't heard, Hammer studios produced a trilogy of Carmilla films starting in 1970. The first one, "The Vampire Lovers" is based directly on the novel "Carmilla" by Sheridan LeFanu. The two sequels, "Twins of Evil" and then "Lust for a Vampire" are original stories by Hammer, and involve Carmilla being resurrected to cause more trouble. If anyone is interested in watching them, the full versions of the first two are on youtube:

The Vampire Lovers: MOD EDIT: please don't link to unofficial uploads.

Twins of Evil:

By the way, these are "R" rated movies.

I put this on the main board instead of off-topic because although it's not about a CV game, it's a movie series about a character that eventually became a star of the CV series, and these films may or may not have had an impact on the character. Also, the people involved in the making of the movies were some of the people whose names were mocked in the credits to the NES CV1. Enjoy!

Aha, the Karnstein trilogy!

I don't think they're particularly highly regarded, but I enjoyed them,  great characters and sets as always!  Well worth a watch.

Imagine an Akumajo Kāmira spin off *_* (Grab ideas IGA *wink wink* )

I'm probably the only one but I still want "Castlevania Lords of Shadows 3 : Walter's Curse" where you play as the Founders to defeat Walter and the Forgotten One

Here's the third movie: Lust For A Vampire - MOD EDIT- again please don't link to unofficial uploads of full movies. Of course if it turns out these were official I'll look like a dolt, but I just don't want anyone to get in trouble.

Edit: Here's something. The Butler of Count Karnstein in the second movie is named Joachim. Possible connection to LoI?

I've been wanting to watch these for a while. Wonder what their DVD availability is? I actually read the original novella on Halloween day last year as part of my celebration (along with marathoning a few Castlevania games and monster movies) and it was a lot of fun. It's a short and enjoyable read, I recommend it to everyone here.

PS- there have been other adaptations of the book as well, at least some of them listed on the wikipedia page for the story http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmilla
