Also what was that 2d psx game I think it was made by square that had lots of chars and you played a chapter with them then changed chars and eventually it all came to the same story. I remember it but cant recall the name.

SaGa Frontier?

If its a strategy type rpg like FFT I want no part of it. Thats what Suikoden is right?

The first Wild Arms is the same as well.  You play as three separate characters at the start and they all come together.  As for Suikoden, they aren't strategy games (unless you're referring specifically to Suikoden Tactics, but that's its own separate game).  The Suikoden series are classic turn-based RPGs.

Because he asks for it not to be mentioned, and its not mentioned?

You have to remember that Suikoden 2 (maybe 3/5 too) has strategy in it. When you go to war.

Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines. Hands down my favourite game. And since you're into Castlevania there a good chance you might enjoy the setting too.

However, it's more of an action-rpg (i.e. not turnbased FF stuff).

This might be true.... if it didn't have so many bugs in it that made it a chore to play at times.

That's why people make those community patches. The game is pretty much bug free now. I was playing it last night, and just got done with the medical clinic bit.

Yeah, if you raise your character the wrong way, the game can get very difficult. It's still possible to win, though.

I can't really say I've had any major problems with bugs in the game with the latest official patch, and I've been through it several times, and I've yet to try any of the extensive community patches.

Anyways, I have to admitt that guns in this game, are just really inferior, so you should'nt really solely on them, but if you buff up your melee or bloodline powers you should be alright.
