I know you're supposed to play Aria before Dawn because there's a plot twist, and is it that black haired guy is Alucard and that Soma is the grandson of Count Dracula? Cuz I know that already...

I thought I was the only one who thought that Soma is actually the son of the legendary Alucard and the grandson of Lord Dracula. Soma really deserves to continue his Sorrow series for the 3rd final saga if KONAMI decided to make it in the future which they should. Castlevania: Souls of Sorrow (whatever the name is) with classic 2Dvania style with next-gen HD visual effects and graphics is the way to go. Imagine Soma (true demon form) fighting off against with the ultimate revival of Lord Dracula as the true final boss for the final decisive battle in Lord Dracula's epic throne in the Demon World and for obtaining the Best Ending. Death always find some ways to revive his true Master no matter what happens. I think Soma is the only one who can truly destroy Lord Dracula completely instead of sealing him away for century.

I would really love to see the epic conversations between Soma Cruz and Lord Dracula.

This video is just too awesome to watch.

Soma Cruz Vs Dracula

And imagine Soma (true demon form) VS Dracula (final demon king form) by using this perfect selection music of Lord Dracula!  ;D

If you believe Soma is going to fight Dracula, you really need to play the game through until the end.

Which somehow reminds me: does anyone have news on Serio's fighter? I saw that the website's been updated fairly recently, but I'm still in the dark as far as future plans for the game, including anything plot-related.

teh only way dracula can come back is if soma succumbs to his dark side, like when he thought mina was killed by celia (and even then it wont be the same dracula). otherwise soma can and will never fight classic dracula becuz it will make no sense (unless it took place outside of time & space, like a Judgment scenario, judgment-2 perhaps)

but remember genya alucardo's words, a new dark lord will arise even if it isnt you, soma.. which i took that to mean when soma dies of old age or whatever, his soul )which contains draculas power of dominance) will reincarnate into another person, and that person may become the new dark lord

I agree with what crisis said.

Judgment 2, I won't mind as long as they change the character designer.

It doesn't even have to be a future incarnation of Soma. A new Dark Lord could be someone entirely different. I always thought that given Soma's tendency to attract trouble and diving in head first, Arikado/Alucard might start to see Soma as a real threat and decide to kill him. At which point, an epic battle would ensue with the winner being the first lose his humanity and absorb the power of Chaos. Of course, the one who does so becomes the new dark lord. It might make for an interesting plot twist and with a new dark lord, it allows for the series to continue farther into the future. As for why Soma or Alucard becoming the new Dark Lord, I just always thought that they were the only individuals who had a legitimate claim to it. Soma being Drac's reincarnation and Alucard being Drac's son. It's just that neither wants it now.

I think they made it pretty clear that anyone can become the Dark Lord under the right circumstances.
Otherwise we wouldn't have the other candidates and Galamoth stirring the pot.

I've always had this scenario play through in my head for a long time as a what if some day Soma was forced into going back through the real castle, with a very dangerous guy trying to claim the throne as the successor of Dracula.  However, the castle is trying to kill Soma as a human bit by bit and restore him to his might, recognising him as the true master, returned.  Soma finds himself fully regaining his old memories as he traverses the castle.  In the end, Soma, not far off of dying (as he has been gradually) decides, at the epic climax, that he *has* to retake up his old mantle in order to stop this really unpleasant fellow (who turns out to be the reincarnatoon of Walter) from becoming the new dark lord.  He knows that he has no other choice, as little as he wants to.  One thought which was playing through my head, although it does sound horribly cheesy, that as a result of his taking the throne willingly, before he's killed outright, it allows him a measure of control of being able to choose between being a vampire or a quasi-human/dhampir-like being, at any moment.  However, he asks Alucard (who he's recognised through his guise as Genya) to help put him under a seal, so that he cannot misuse the full extent of his powers.

Yes, I know that this has some parallels to bits of LoS 2.  I was amused by this as I played through it, thinking 'Hey, I thought of something like that!'.

@Tatteredseraph: It could work as a great fanfiction premise. Now if someone is willing to write it...
Don't worry about the cheesiness, it is not cheesy for me. Nothing is as cheesy as Twilight.

@Shiroi: I wish that I could just dump all of the ideas out of my head and go ta da!  One fanfic.  But I'm rubbish at writing stories, and after writing a 200 page long piece of work last year (which wasn't a story)...  *shudders*  The worst thing is, I have an even longer, multi-part saga for a fanfic idea going round and round my head.  *Laughs*

It's a shame that we're unlikely to get any continuation of the Sorrow arc now that Iga's left Konami.  I've always felt that there's the potential for Soma's story to be continued, as the end of Dawn didn't feel like the end.

Ewww....  Twilight.  There's just so much wrong with that series.
