I'm playing the entire series again, has anyone thought how scary it is that this game predicts a near-accurate future?

If you mean every single thing having a jack-in (usb) port and having wifi everywhere, then yep, pretty accurate.
Also, I was horrified to know there is actually a part of the internet called the darknet in real life. And it's filled with some real sick s**t.

There is also levels of Deepnet, only tech wiz hacks can access it aparently.
and yeah, Wi-fi everywhere, Smart devices everywhere, inevitable cyber terrorism.

bad part is Watch Dogs now looks like a gritty Battle Network reboot sans megaman, Lan got it hard lol

Actually, Deepnet is a higher level than Darknet. And getting access to the fully anonymous Deepnet isn't that hard that I'd say you need to know kung-fu. But still it's not really for the average user.

On Topic:
I never really played passed the 4th game. They were fun for what they were, but it got a little tedious after a while. Maybe when that unofficial 7th game is finished I'll go back and play them again myself.

So....

Colonel vs. Protoman?  ;D
Who do you think is a cooler character? Colonel is more mature and badass-looking, while Protoman is megaman's strongest, fastest friend/rival, which makes him the coolest in general. If I had to choose between megaman and protoman, it's Proto all the way.  ;D

Also, from the same game, I really love Searchman, who's also one badass-looking sob. That soldier-style design really fits the nature of MBN5.

It took me a long time to warm up to the Battle Network series, but today I look back on it with a deep fondness—not really sure why.

My favorite is definitely MMBN3, followed by Mega Man Network Transmission (an absolute gem).

I only played Battle Network 3 and 6, though I played all 3 Star Force games.

BN3 was amazing. BN 6 was too easy.

Star Force 1 and 3 are great, 2 is garbage.

Also, this should probably go in the mega Man thread we have floating around here
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.
