PC and PS4
In that order. It only recently came out on PS4.
It's a multiplayer TPS game. though you can play it solo. (not recommended though)
The game is technically not complete, as it is with most online games. they update shit as they go along.
You are loaded out with a main weapon, (Rifle, shotgun, etc) a sub weapon, (pistol, kunai etc) and a melee weapon like a sword or such.
the melee and main weapon are your bread and butter, though the sub weapons deserve some love too.
heres some gameplay
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IBLlj6TEC8You can just goolge this tuff or youtube it, but ill give a rundown:
You can at the start, pick from 3 starting warframes, which are essentially battle armors. You are a Tenno, which is basically some kind of space ninja.
you go through the solar system and through the planets, which each have bases and orbiting ships and shit, doing different missions.
you are rewarded with mods, which are ability cards you can mix and match to your warframe to improve your abilities. each warframe has its own unique set of special moves that you can find in mods. as you level your warframe up to the max of 30, you gain points per level. these points let you equip mods.
You also gain parts to craft new warframes and weapons.
TLDR, its a grind based game, but its really addictive.
There are 3 major factions (excluding the Tenno)- none of which are entirely Human as you know them, and none of which like the Tenno.

Earth is a wasteland, and is controlled by the Grineer, who are an empire of decaying cyborg clones. They kind of resemble space marines in a way, and their language is a corruption of english. They are a war race, and just live to conquer everything. They are extremely xenophobic, and hate everyone. they also constantly search for ways to improve themselves as they are all degraded clones who need constant replacement with machine parts. Grineer are I suppose, the poster enemy for the game, considering how visually imposing they are and how widespread they are.

The second faction is the Corpus. They are mostly human, and their empire is structured like the mega corporations that used to inhabit Earth. They are also cybernetically enhanced to some extent, but are not as crude as the Grineer. they make heavy use of robots and automation and lasers and shit. They indoctrinate and brainwash their followers. They speak some kind of machine language. Their big role in the universe is basically being merchants. They are sneaky and cunning, as opposed to the Grineer's method of just brute force. They seek to assimilate technology and reverse engineer it for themselves so they can sell it and shit. They call the Tenno "Betrayers" for some as of yet unexplained lore reason.

third is the Infested. basically zombies. they are horribly mutated and twisted animal-like beings infected by a plague type deal. They that I remember dont have any major aspirations other than to consume shit and be zombies. They are mostly made up of horribly deformed Corpus and Grineer.

There is ALSO one last faction, which does not actually appear in game, called the Orokin. These are the token ancient space future wizards who have impressively advanced technology that everyone wants, but they themselves have completely disappeared. They have these places left over called towers, which are not located in normal space. you need to go to the void, some kind of dimensional rift thing to get in them. (requiring of course a key you have to grind for, with different tier difficulties from 1-3)
inside these towers you find mostly Grineer and Corpus, which have been corrupted by the Tower security/AI and have been assimilated as Tower defenses. You can get some good rewards for these missions, always based on orokin design. gameplaywise, this usually results in "improved" versions of existing weapons. ex: instead of "Sword A", it's "Sword A Prime"

The Orokin also have lost derelict spaceships floating around in space, which have been overtaken by the infested plague and are totally in ruins, with massive overgrowth that actually reaches OUTSIDE the ships. These are full of infested, although occasionally you might suddenly encounter Grineer or Corpus raiding the ship themselves. The appeal of THESE places- since they are not hidden in the void- is they have orokin Vaults on them, which contain a super mod, meaning instead of having one ability, it has TWO abilities. To get in the vault you need a key. however, the vault key is one of like 4 or 5 different possible keys that you can craft by sacrificing a void key and have to equip and take with you. The catch to this is each key has a debilitating side effect when you equip it. This ranges from being super slow, to constantly losing health, doing no damage, etc.
You can also create your own clan, with a dojo. you can build your own dojo, which when fully built can give you access to special weapons and shit.
