What would be even better is to include the "poor" games and improve their plots. If you're doing a whole timeline thing, add everything and make it better than it already is. (Excluding games such as Bloodlines saddens me actually lol!)
Well, like I said in a previous post, including every game would, in the end, make the series REALLY redundant, especially to people who have never played the games before. That's the biggest thing I'm trying to avoid. In short, I'm trying to create a series that everyone can enjoy watching, not just hardcore CV fans.
Also, I know this is really bad of me, but I personally never liked the idea of putting Bram Stoker's Dracula into the actual timeline. It just... I don't know. It's a really dumb idea. Like, I get the series was heavily inspired by it, but putting the actual book into the timeline, and especially in such a hamfisted way? Eh.
Most of the stuff in between SotN and AoS I want to exclude because I want the webseries to establish Alucard and the Belmonts (like THE Belmonts, not the Schneiders or Morrises) as the main protagonists. I don't want people who aren't Belmonts or Alucard killing Dracula (Shanoa is the exception since she uses Dracula's power to do so).
Other things I want to do are establish some more realism into the series, in terms of physics. Which means no anime crap, and no jumping 50 feet into the air bullshit like LoS put in.
The fact that you are excluding Curse of Darkness and Dawn of Sorrow pleases me. Plot-wise, they were very unneeded sequels.
I liked CoD, but I really didn't like the idea of the series continuing chronologically after AoS. There was no point, it had the perfect ending.
Basically, my story ideas I had for the Sorrow games were basically merging them into one game. Bringing over characters and plot elements from DoS into AoS. It's an easy (yet kind of a cop-out) way of expanding upon the game's plot, while still injecting some of my own ideas into it.
So essentially, all four of Soma, Graham, Dario, and Dmitri are "candidates" to inherit the Dark Lord's power. The difference this round though is... For one, I'm not including Celia into the plot. I consider her the worst character in the series. And also, all four of the "candidates" are fighting each other. Dario and Dmitri aren't on the same side (however much they were in DoS), they're fighting each other, too. This here is essentially me putting in another way of creating a chaotic and dangerous environment, like what Genya warned Soma of.
