On a scale of 1 to 10, how much is this game going to prepare me for Castlevania LoS?  I'll probably get that off my backlog next.

They are actually VERY similar in gameplay so, it will prepare you pretty well.

Dante's Inferno is one of my fave games of the last generation.

It plays more akin to God of War than anything else.

It's a bit short though.

Beautiful game, the anime is great too!

Inferno has a much better Satan than Lords, though.

Just make sure you're braced and ready for his monster dick.

I bought it when I bought my PS3 around 2011 and I had a blast playing it. Some of the monsters and bosses are super over the top but I found it to be really fun. I pretty sure when you're in Lust they just put a porno on repeat and recorded the sounds from it.

Ahhh, the scorpion-penis chicks. And nipple tongues. And nipple monster babies.

Good times.

Yeah, I noticed this game's fixation on nipples.

It's been a long time since I played through this game, I didn't remember them. This makes me want to go back and replay it.

Too bad it won't get a remaster most likely...

I finished Chapter 2 in LoS and this game is pretty much dead to me.  Are the first two chapters an indication of how the rest of the game is going to play in terms of forcing you to trudge through obnoxious bosses that take forever to whittle down their health, constantly spam QTEs at you the moment you start to make any kind of progress, and automatically regenerate 30% of their health for no reason if you miss any of their QTEs?  Or does LoS just have a really bad start and I'm eventually going to get to the point where it's actually, you know, fun?

Actually the start of the game is a little slow. It gets better and better the more you play through. If you stick with it you'll be glad you did.

But yes, QTE's are critical moments that you must be paying attention to enough to press a button. If you flub these (easy) moments you will be taxed. They're not spam, they're there to keep you on toes. Pay extra attention during boss fights and you won't have a problem.
The worst monsters are human.

Stone Idol Titan's gonna kick your ass if you're having trouble with the QTEs.

Down with the QTE-defending heathen.  You are the cancer killing gaming.

Anyway, I'm on Chapter 5 now and it got better.  The fight with the monster-girl-crow-thing was punchy.
