i just found this heres the link

http://kotaku.com/346759/rumored-new-castlevania-ds-screens-indicate-wii-connectivity

i wouldn't mind saying good bye to the cartoon art myself if its true.
but it could be a fan edit but they getting so damn lazy with making games it could be real too :P
the sprite looks kinda like a charlotte edit who else think so?
plus the pic with whatever that is a bad guy looks messed up.
only 2 good screens the title screen and the one with the japanese txt.
BTW anybody that reads japanese whats it say?
so what you all think real or fake?

It's most likely a fake, though Konami's silence makes me wonder.

The only thing worth seeing from the old thread:

TRANSLATIONS

Akumajo Dracula: Ubawareta Kokuin

Castlevania: The Stolen Seal

Woman name: Shanoa or if you want a more reasonable name, Chanoix (french)

Dialogue: I was just going to go through the ritual to make my body adapt to "dominus".

if those are fakes they are really really good fakes.  I honestly believe that this is the 3rd DS Castlevania so it wouldn't surprise me.  Usually you can tell if a fake is a fake by studying the image, I see no reason at all to believe these are fakes.  It wouldn't matter either way, Anytime screens are leaked everyone says they are fakes no matter how authentic they look.  I don't think its a 1999 game though it might have something to do with Elizabeth Bartley and the Bloodlines timeline.  Maybe its a prequel to Bloodlines or takes place in the same frame as the Bram Stoker novel.  IGA has said that he wanted to tie up some loose ends in the Castlevania timeline and thats one of the big loose ends in it on how the Bram Stoker novel ties into the Castlevania timeline.  From those screens other than the character portraits the art style looks to revert back to Ayami's art style.  I think this is Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia I would bet $10 on it :).

I wonder how many people are going to whine, moan, and bash IGA if those screenshots are real.  ;D

I was suppose to say something profound here. I don't 'do' profound so much as ramble so...whatever. Here lies text. Congratulations for reading it.  You were as bored as I am. Seriously, stop reading, you can't be that bored.  Still here? Really?  You officially are my new favorite person and now are owed one internet cookie. Don't eat it though, it gives you bad gas.

Probably half the people on here except me :).  Any new Castlevania game is good news for me even if it was leaked early.  They could be fakes but like I said they would have to be really good fakes.I mean the screenshots look pretty cool, kind of similar to the other DS games.  If Ayami Kojima is back in the picture I think that will stop the complaints with the Anime style artwork but you couldn't really tell what style it is.

doesn't really look kojima to me. one of her trademark screw ups, longcat necks on female portraits isn't present here (however, a too long head is, but kojima never had a problem with drawing hueg skulls).

also the eyes are too wide, compared to kojima's who mostly tries to stay away from generic anime style and draws her eyes small.

i really hope that awful orange palette on screen #2 will be darkened. it looks like hod.

I have to agree. The art looks NOTHING like Kojima's. I said it a while back when I first seen the screens, the art looks like it could've come from some Korean MMORPG.

I think it looks like a combination of Kojima and Anime-style.

Since the images insinuate that the main protagonist is a female, I hope they are fake.

It could be.  People can complain all they want about the Anime style but I like it (the videos at the beginning not so much my cup of tea).  I just beat Dawn of Sorrow actually today after 2 years or more of owning the game.  Its taken me along time after getting lost in that game and then restarting it and trying to play through it again.  I thought the game was so good that it might even give Symphony a run for its money, but I will make that determination after I beat the other modes and give Symphony another run through (Its been over a year, its about time to re-visit it.

Another thing about the Anime is that its done very well in Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin besides the videos which look too Dragonball Z-ish.  Of course you can't bash IGA too much for going Anime with the graphics since he is trying to appeal to a younger audience as well.  I have no issue with it as long as they keep raising the bar higher for each game.  Gameplay is what makes or breaks Castlevania games,  who knows maybe Kojima got to be apart of the new DS title.  The last two she was busy with Curse of Darkness and Dracula X from what I understand.  Who knows maybe she did a mixture of Anime styled artwork?  I mean thats not like her but if IGA wanted Anime I am sure she would produce.

Yeah, actually this looks like the same artist that did the anime stuff, it's just in a different style.
