If that's indeed an accurate translation (which I trust is), then ugh. "Destests peace"? At that point is just sounds like Shaft is evil just to be evil.

Also, his overall bio seems contradictory, if he "detests peace" but then was mad that the world was corrupted.

To be fair, that was pretty much always Shaft's backstory. There's a reason Alucard told him, "You claim to love the darkness so much. Go then, and dwell there for eternity."

A dark priest who hates peace and attempts to bring about destruction and chaos. He resurrected Dracula to fulfill his plan to change the world according to his wishes. He was a priest before but the more he served god, the more he saw the world covered in desire (sins), and the god he believed in greatly disappointed him. He construed that the god lead peace causes corruption, dabbling in the dark arts to destroy it, with Dracula's resurrection, he plots to change the world into the one he desires.

Anyway, from what I understand Shaft wants to reshape the world to his own wishes. Since he allied himself with Dracula I assume that constitutes killing all humans, because humans are the source of all sin, and so on. As to why he hates peace, the description seems to state that he thinks "peace" is the status quo that causes corruption.

Descriptions for Death, Dark Knight, and Skeleton:

God of death. Dracula's confidant and to who he offers his allegiance. He uses dark magic and with his dark weapon, Death Scythe, he hunts for souls.

A Dark Knight in whose armor dwells an evil soul. He gathered several swords.

A monster consisting only of bones. There are also leader types who are equipped with helmets.

The promise of wealth, power and expansion? Richer beyond the dream of avarice? These are usually the first reasons of why a once good company devolves into a bad company. In my humble opinion it's nothing more then delusions of grandeur.

In Konami's case, I think mobile games and pachislot/pachinko are more financially appealling to them. Though I'm not sure if this simply makes them more money than before or their video game business was falling behind.

I suppose the Japanese market for Konami made video games on consoles is way below par to be profitable. So they have no choice but to move their assets to the profitable areas of mobile games, slot machines, pachinkos and card games.
