This:

A Souls game with a Castlevania skin, pretty much. Either based on the level select feature of Demon's Souls or the open world style progression of the Dark Souls games. Since it would be a clone game, it might as well be outsourced to From Software. I think they could even carry over the character customization mechanic and let you pick a gender, base stats, and a little backstory. It would probably work best as side canon.

and this:

I am a simple guy. HD sprite-based remake of Castlevania IV with new stages and/or alternate routes. Multiple soundtrack styles such as arrangements of the original in forms of orchestrated, rock and/or synth based. Hell, maybe a create a level option for extra measure ala Mario Maker would be a sweet extra.

I really prefer 2D Castlevania games like this idea piscesdreams said but 3D is also nice if it's well made. No problems with the 64 ones that ppl say so bad things and no problems with the PS2 games.

I would cry if From Software made a Castlevania game! I remember that after a little time playing Dark Souls I already found myself dreaming about a Castlevania game like that. The atmosphere of Bloodborn is already close to it and I think it should be difficult like a Souls game.

EDIT:  Does the person that made Castlevania Chronicles: Curse of Darkness post here?  I literally just saw it today on YouTube and it's pretty much what I described minus the HD part. Are they going to finish/complete it? What ai saw looked like a beta.  Anyone got info?

You mean Jorge Fuentes, or WarMachine? If so, yes, they both post here.

A Simon's quest remake in CVLOD platforming style with better controls/ combat but shorter, harder hitting combos than LOS. (Perhaps like Souls but faster)
Simon's whip (leather>>>flame) should depend on what level is attained. I.e. 1-10 = leather whip... 11-20 = thorn whip, etc.

SOTN 2, but done more in the style of CV2. A big 2D open world that stretches out across the Transylvania countryside. OoE was really close to this but I wouldn't mind a seamless 2D open world without fast travel.
Something like that but with CV4's directional whipping and CV3's character changing.

I'm pretty easy going. A Belmont in a huge castle, whipping everything in sight, and fighting classic CV monsters. The story could even be like "Dracula is back... kill him!" Seriously I'd be fine with that. I don't care if it's 2D or 3D either.

For my game I'd be in 2D or 2.5 depending on what I want. I would also take the concept of Super Castlevania IV and expand upon it. I would also return to the campy Halloween feel of the older titles and not focus so heavily on the dark, Gothic romanticism that many of IGA's games focused on. The story itself would also be clear-cut and not overly complex and convoluted; A lone Belmont warrior Vs Vlad Dracula, bosses from other classic horror titles, etc. Done.

A true successor to Bloodlines with the hunters searching for Dracula's relics around the world. You'd get around on a plane that serves as a mobile base where you can upgrade your characters/weapons.

In the actual game you can switch between your standard whipslinging protagonist and a partner of your choice. You'll have one default partner starting out (a Belnades probably) but you'll recruit more as the game goes on. Some of them are purely optional but you'll need them all to unlock new areas/get certain items if you're to achieve 100%.

Base: SCV4
Ingredients:
-HD art style a`la Maramasa/Dragon's Crown
-Vastly expanded use of the whip to interact with the environment as suggested by EgoRaptor
-SotN style level structure
-Unlockable sub-weapons and upgrades
-No RPG elements
-Unlockable character skins for "costumes"
"Stuff and things."

Not exactly a 'dream' game but it's one that I've been thinking about a lot lately - I would have loved a direct follow up to Lament of Innocence, rather than (or as well as, I guess) Curse of Darkness.  Something where Leon is tracking Mathias across foreign lands, with exotic locales and local monsters to be destroyed.  Let Leon actually have a confrontation with Mathias as well, before he disappears from history for 300+ years.

Yes! Sotn level scructure is very boring though. I don't think that would work well for a non rpg. Scv4 levels are far superior IMO.

How about just larger scv4 style levels with multiple routes?

To be honest, I'm very curious to see how Bloodstained does its classic mode. The idea of arrangements of metroidvania levels in a classicvania style has always interested me. I'm not sure if Iga said it would be remixed level designs or not, but it really has to in order to nail the classicvania style. While I have said it many times before that I much prefer classicvanias, I really like the idea of both in one package. (Called it btw, before the Kickstarter was announced) classicvanias are always just too damn short. So in a way, a metroid/classicvania two in one is a bit of a dream. If only it were in the Castlevania IV era. An HD remix of that with metroidvania options for a whole new mode would be choice.

I think adventure rebirth is a good indicator of what classic style Iga levels are like. They were ok, but I wasn't impressed with adventure rebirth. The levels felt repetitive and boring to me.

I'm confident bloodstained will be an improvement though. We'll have to see.
