News - Konami copyrights new Castlevania title

Not since 2006's Portrait of Ruin has the Castlevania series seen a truly new installment; last year's PSP release of The Dracula X Chronicles was merely a remake, and no one talks about the mobile phone title Order of Shadows.

Now, it seems as though Konami's preparing an announcement; a recent filing with the US Trademark department reveals something to talk about; Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.

Could this be the new DS game series producer Koji Igarashi has been talking about, or is it a new console title yet to be revealed? Possibly an Xbox Live Arcade title? Let's just hope that it's not another mobile title.

An official announcement is sure to happen within the coming weeks, maybe even days.
