"The Castlevania Series" on Wii U eShop

Just went to the eShop on my eShop to download the demo for the new Fatal Frame game, and saw that the shop was decked out for Halloween.  It brought a smile to my face to see a nice panel for "The Castlevania Series" next to panels with Boos, Dry Bowser, Toadette, and Dry Bones.  No new games, no discounts, but a nice recap of every Castlevania game you can buy for Wii U and 3DS, which more than justifies the purchase of these systems in my opinion.

The list as it appears on the shop:
Castlevania for 3DS
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse for 3DS
Castelvania: Aria of Sorrow
Super Castlevania IV
Castlevania
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest for 3DS
Castlevania Dracula X
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest
Castlevania: The Adventure for 3DS
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate for 3DS

Couldn't buy any if I wanted to since I have all of these.

Sweet. I've only got the NES trilogy on my 2DS so far. Guess it's time to add more  :)

sorry, i should have specified i was at the WiiU eShop.  any game not marked as 3ds is for the WiiU.  if it's on both, it will appear twice in the list.

Don't know why you can't buy it for both or just buy it once to play on both consoles. Just another set of confusing decisions by Nintendo.

Playing GBA games on the Wii U > playing GBA games on the 3DS

So if only one were to happen (ideally it'd be on both systems), I'm glad it's the console.

I just wish those mufuggrz would get more games out.

Playing GBA games on the Wii U > playing GBA games on the 3DS
Why

For what reason

In what bizarro universe does that equation make sense?

Yeah I agree with SW, but if you like your pixels the size of your sugar cubes then maybe it makes sense. The only upside I can see is using a wireless controller as opposed to a 3ds console.

I much prefer to play games on the Wii U over 3DS.  I like being able to switch between a large tv screen and a small screen, depending on my mood.  The game pad is so much more comfortable than the 3DS in my opinion, not to mention a larger screen.  Of course, that's sacrificing portability.  Can't move to another room far away from the Wii U if I wanted to.  Oh well.

What I want to know is what they're going to do when the NX comes out next year.  If it's all backwards compatible and I can move everything over like I could when upgrading my Wii to a Wii U and still use the Wii U gamepad, I might get it.  If it's not, I'll probably skip the NX altogether.  I think I've purchased these games enough times... Still haven't gotten a PS4 or XBox One, since I can't move my game collection onto the new systems.

I wish they'd put them on 3DS, and as silly a thing as it is, I'd wish for a CV theme on there as well.

I also wish they'd do something where you could buy some of these games as a "package" on both systems, for a price cheaper than buying them separately.  I'd buy so many packages -- well, if and when I had money -- to own the game on both systems, even though I know I'd favor the 3DS.

I do.

And yes, playing with a wireless controller is more fun than with a handheld. Also, awesome stereo sound without needing headphones.

If I wanna play these games on a handheld again, I still have the games and the systems.
