New videos from Resident Evil 7. Titled "The World of Resident Evil 7", they appear to be a video series that will show off small tidbits of the games. Only two videos out so far, I'll most more as they release.

Volume 1: Mysterious Caller: Showcases Ethan answering a phone ringing, and a voice on the other end leaving a cryptic message.
Volume 2: Shotgun in the Box: Showcases Ethan opening an item boxes and retrieving and equipping a shotgun.

Also worth mentioning is that in the second video, even if a two-slot item is placed in your quick select slots, they will still take up more than one slot (the shotgun in the video goes down into the first item row).

Two more volumes from The World of Resident Evil 7, showcasing more bits about the game.

Volume 3: Recorder: Showcases the game's saving system is at save points which are tape recorders. Whether or not they brought back limited saves remains to be seen.
Volume 4: Stock Up: Showcases two more functions of the pocket knife you get. You can smash wooden crates with it (a la RE4-6), as well as cut tape that would otherwise hold something shut. The knife has more uses than simply being a weapon.

Two new volumes from The World of Resident Evil 7 are out.

Volume 5: Survival: Showcases the game's healing system, and that combining herbs still exists. Ethan's health is monitored by both a screen filter and his watch (the former of which I believe can be turned off in the options menu).
Volume 6: Immortal: Showcases some combat against Jack Baker, aka Family Man. Showcases that Jack is seemingly immortal and cannot be killed by regular means, making him similar to Nemesis (add to the fact that he busts through walls after you, and it's a decent comparison).

The game really is starting to slowly come together. I hope they show off or at least tease one of the boss fights.

So the game's finally out. Anyone have a chance to play it yet? I picked my copy up at 9PM on the 23, got about 3 hours in.

The game is a hell of a lot of fun. It really feels like a modern version of the original games, and I absolutely love it. It's legitimately scary again, item and resource management is back, conserving ammo and knowing when and when not to fight is important again. I'm in love with RE all over again.

Anyone else got the chance to try it out yet?
