Aksys Games will be releasing the game physically and digitally on Vita, and through Steam only on PC. They currently have no plans to localize the updated version, Tokyo Xanadu eX+, for the PlayStation 4 (though to be fair, this version isn't even out in Japan yet).

It's a shame we're not getting eX+, but I've wanted to play this game for so long, so I'll take what I can get at this point. More action games on my Vita is always a plus, too. Here's hoping we get a worthwhile localization, and I'm praying for dual audio or a dub. Too many games are releasing on Vita without English voices, and it really bothers me.

(Worth mentioning though, that Aksys Games published BlazBlue in the west and those games have pretty good localizations from what I've seen. Dubbed, too. Even their lesser known games like Zero Escape are dubbed. Here's hoping)

What do you guys think? Anyone else that was excited for this game when it was released last year? Falcom RPGs are more often than not damn good, so I can't wait.

Far as I can see, absolutely nothing like NEXT. It's more along the lines of the recent Ys games in terms of gameplay.

Speaking of NEXT, when is XSEED doing their official Steam release? Been wanting to play that again.

Who knows? It's not like it's already translated and a good deal of technical work is mostly done...
I really want this given that the Import is rather expensive (which leads to the other option)

Far as I know, XSEED contracted the fan translator as a consultant on the project. While they're using that translation as base, they're still doing reworks on it to make sure it's as best as it can possibly be. Plus, with their PC releases, they go all out on them to make sure there's plenty of video options for newer end PCs. Plus XSEED is just a publisher, not a developer. So I guess it's understandable how long it takes, what with how little they are.

But yeah, I imagine it'd release for around $20 tops. I'd rather buy it and just play it on Steam rather than import it. Way too pricey for me right now.

same, I'll remain patient knowing that they are doing it.
I'm hoping for some more Ys Love tho, China gets Ys Seven and Celceta on PC leaving me slightly salty (only because I don't have a Vita)

As far as Ys Seven and Celceta go, XSEED probably wouldn't be able to. Their partnership only goes as far as Falcom, whereas those ports are owned by another third-party company.
