http://www.konamistyle.jp/sp/dracula_ds3/

Apparently, there's going to be a special edition version of the game coming out. It comes with the game, a 2 disc soundtrack and a book, though I can't translate the page well enough to say if it's just a book, the case everything comes in (in the form of a book) or a really awesome looking art book.

Here's a really decent translation of the page you linked to:
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.konamistyle.jp/sp/dracula_ds3/&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.konamistyle.jp/sp/dracula_ds3/%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG

Pretty cool stuff...50 song sound-track, but I still can't really tell what the book is...

edit: Oh, I get it now..."Dracula's stolen marking" is the direct translation of the Japanese name of the game. It appears to be a book of images and notes about the game.

We'll get a nicely wrapped package of FAIL with Judgment. :P

I would like Judgment's soundtrack, but when was the last time Konami released one of those in the US for us?

LoI and CoD had samplers.... yeah, we'll probably get that, while Japan will get the full OST, an Obata artbook(yuck!), and something stupid... Like a Wiimote wrist strap and jacket cover...

That's actually interesting that the direct translation for this game is "Dracula's Stolen Marking".  Wonder what that has to do with the game.

But yeah, I'm getting the special edition (I already pre-ordered it) if for nothing more than the soundtrack, since I would have gotten it anyway.  And considering (with shipping and handling) it would cost about the same, might as well.

Yeah, I guess it's worth it, considering the game would be 50= dollars, OST would be 40+ dollars... is a notebook with a leather jacket really worth $30? Well, when you count the shipping...

Dracula's Stolen Marking....  Hmmm....  That makes it sound like the glyphs are part of Dracula's power, and if only Shanoa can use them....  Maybe we finally have another classic Universal Monster reference, maybe Shanoa is Dracula's daughter?  I mean Alucard got his name from the movie "Son of Dracula" (even if in the movie Alucard turned out to be Dracula).  Just a hunch.

I doubt that the glyphs are actual powers stolen from dracula.  If anything they're spells stolen from his library possibly by Alucard (though I doubt it).  Yeah, she could be Alucard's long lost half-sister, not likely though.  Then again, she could just be an artificial person created using magic to be a vessel that can absorb and use these possibly forbidden powers.

The truth is that we don't really know anything about the story of the game and we know next to nothing about the characters.  I think the fact that we don't know much will make the game a lot more fun.  Admit it!  When CV games came out in the past, the ones that seemed to be the most fun were the ones we knew no much about or had a completely new and untested feature or game play.  For example, SotN was the first true game that had certain elements of RPGs that have revolutionized the series and is the model for almost all the recent CV games.  And that is what made SotN so fun.

OoE is going is somewhat new direction by merging the game layout of CV2 and SotN.  I think the huge environment and new battle system, as well as a mysterious storyline, will make this game a huge success and worth waiting two more months, even though it is practically all I can think about.  Konami should really release another official trailer to hold us over.  At least I think so.

It was just a possible cool theory I had.  I don't think it will be the case.  I hope the twist is something more than "zomg anotha Belnades!"  Giving her a code name means there is something special about her name.  Her being a golem is possible, but why have a code name then?

Well, I'm guessing the stolen marking doesn't acount for glyphs in plural. It could mean Dominus(which could be Dracula's "Power to Rule", siphoned from him and made into a glyph).

Who says the name has to mean anything? In SotN, did anyone ever sing a Nocturne in the Moonlight? What about a Minuet of Dawn? I still don't understand "The Accursed Seal" and that one seems to mean something....

The accursed seal means the curse, it makes perfect sense.  he has to break it, IE un-seal it.

And a name like this has to mean something.  it's not just some random music name.  they would not call it "Dracula's stolen Marking" if it had stolen from Dracula.  Don't be silly.  Especially considering that the glyphs are markings.

Well there IS a song called 'Nocturne' on the SOTN soundtrack and the person COULD have been singing it under the moonlight.  :P

Besides there are other Castlevania games that have titles that actually did have something to do with the story so it's not like the theory is far-fetched. And I'm sure if a person tried hard enough (Note: I'm not that person.  ;D )you could say that NitM and MoD are actually metaphoric meanings, to which they would still make sense and pertain to the story.

I may be wrong but it sounds to me like the translation could be related to the story.  I'm with Alexc2808, I'd rather that then "zomg anotha Belnades!" myself.
