Order of Ecclesia's main character is actually modeled after a picture of IGA's wife!




Yamane is back yes... as for art, I don't think I can comment on that yet.

But about the Wii version there is a Wii game in store, obviously from those pics I leaked out :x

But that's not the only stuff in store for 2008-2009.

It is pending approval but the PCE CD version of Akumajou Dracula X Chii no Rondo will be coming out on the North American virtual console as well. It just launched in Japan recently.

Castlevania Chronicles will be coming out on the PSN as well... ^_^

OoE/UK is not that far into production, just the main "area" is finished and each scenario lvl is still being worked on and are in very early stages, some not even having enemies.

There is very likely no Wii game in store. IGA doesn't really think Castlevnaia would work on the system.

Also, it is true Japan got a VC release of Rondo, but the way NOA has been holding back VC releases lately, and the fact we just got Dracula X Chronicles... it doesn't seem this is going to happen for us anytime soon.

Obviously, OoE is way further along in development than that. It recieved an ESRB rating, which means the game is in a finished or near-it state.

Yes, but what mr.s portrait said before about the previous games was true, so i believe that next week or so, we will have our answers if these words are true or not!

I don't think it's up to Iga as much as it is the upper people at Konami.  They are looking to sell as many units as possible.  So far the Wii is ruling in sales.  It's pretty logical to make the next game for Wii if they want as many sales as possible.

I think what he/she's exact words were "Two 1999 games, that is all." That's basically trying to prove there will be 2 games, which was obviously false (as of now).

Don't get me wrong, any Castlevania news is good news, but Portrait always stops just short of delivering anything substantial.

And why did she say the shots "I leaked"? The poster on faqs who leaked the original screens was banned, and, purportedly fired from Konami.

Did he? I missed that. I just remember one of the gamefaqers saying they talked to the original poster who leaked the pics through PM's or something similar, and he/she said they were fired for the leak. Allegedly they were working on translations for the enemy names, I believe. To my knowledge, they haven't posted since.

Another question occurs to me: which Castlevania Chronicles is she referring to? The original is the most obvious answer, but I could see someone calling DXC simply Castlevania Chronicles too.

It's the original. DXC just released; no way they would port it so soon, and I doubt a port of that would go over well anyway.

But I could see it eventually realeasing on the PS2 or the PS3 as a stand-alone title.
