Porting Order of Shadows?

I was wondering if it's at all possible to port Order of Shadows to a console of some kind. From what I understand, isn't Java fairly flexible? Having this game available on anything other than cheap flip phones would be awesome.

I'm not knowledgeable about this stuff, so if there's anyone who can tell me anything, please do!

I've been wanting to play this game for a while.

PC or ouya would be nice.

There has to be a way!

I managed to play it through an emulator, but the damn thing kept crashing on me. I would like a legit way to play it.

Though the game has some serious control problems, among other things. If someone could rebuild it for PC and polish the game up, THAT would be awesome.

I'd like to see it remade for, say, Super Nintendo. Perhaps using the Dracula X engine. That way I could have a cart made so I can put it on my shelf. :P

The attack speed looks ridiculously slow.

But it looks like it could be enjoyable for other things.

First post on the Dungeon forums (and in a thread about Order of Shadows no less!) so please be gentle:

I recently played this using an emulator as part of a chronological/timeline inspired play through of the Castlevania series that I am currently doing and in all honesty, it is really not all that bad, especially given the automatic limitations of trying to do a Castlevania game for phones of that period.

That said, I wouldn't want to even try and play it on an actual phone, but even just playing it on a laptop using the keyboard and the controls were really quiet manageable.  Even the strange jump mechanics weren't a problem and can actually be quite useful once you know how to exploit them.

Not sure about the feasibility of porting the game to a cartridge though - I did a quick google and there was talk of a device for playing Java games on the GBA from years ago, but all links seem to be dead now.

I sure as hell would love to play this game to see where exactly it would fit chronologically. I've read the story but playing the game itself would make it a more personal experience. Porting it over to PC like they did with the PC Dracula X CD Rom would be a good bet I think.

It's in the late 17th century. I always put it pre-Simon. I consider the protagonist, Desmond, to be Simon's father/brother.

That's where I place it as well - I also like to think that the Order has been behind other Dracula resurrections as well, since there is always secret groups meeting to revive him.  The only issue with it is that

which doesn't get resolved or go anywhere.

Wouldn't be very difficult to program a fangame engine for this, main issue I'd see would just be graphics.

I've been working on a Desmond sprite-sheet for quite a long time now. He's an edit of Richter, since Desmond's sprites resembled Richter's anyway. I have all his basic movements done, the only ones I need to do now are his unique animations from the game (using swords/magic, dying, etc.)

I had plans to remake all the sprites from the game but I got lazy and never finished it, lol. Might one day, though.

I thought there was an IGA interview at the time of it's release which stated Order of Shadows was a Gaiden to the main series, meaning it wouldn't have to fit.
If anything it would be Legends>OOS>CV64>LOD as a side story.

Couldn't someone just rip the graphics from the game?

I think it would be more interesting if it were as close to the original game as possible. Things like graphics/sound/music should be the originals from the game. The rest can probably be improved in easily based on the videos I've seen.

I want to know what I missed.
