This is my favorite new game. Of all time. Forever!

It's an overhead tower defense/action RPG done in an 8-bit style with music by Yuzo Koshiro and a lot of really funny writing. This game's localization is akin to Samurai Pizza Cats with how silly it gets.

I'm having a ton of fun with it and you guys should totally play it. :O

There's even an FM synthesis DLC pack but I can't access it yet. :<

As in Dragon's Crown, the Amazonian babe is my gal.

If nothing else, I'm sure affinity will pop in here and sing its praises.

Sadly, there's no 3D visuals but it's a super fun game regardless—much better than the first game in the series, Protect Me Knight (released as an Xbox 360 indie game), which is hard as balls but super fun in its own right. The sequel improves upon the game in absolutely every way.

I love the music! I like Tower Defense games too.

~~Sigh... I just don't understand my 3ds. It wont allow me to update it thus I can't access the eshop. grrr.~~
Finally figured out the problem. I just needed Google's DNS! haha.

Looks right up my alley! Action strategy RPG is a really niche genre and the only ones I can name off the top of my head are Army Corps of Hell, the Kingdom Under Fire series on Xbox (the original was a PC only RTS, but the Xbox sequels add hack n slash gameplay along with the strategy bits. KUF 2 was supposed to come out for PC and PS4 last year, but no new info on it ☹), and to an extent Actraiser.
