It's always annoying when noobs come along the bandwagon but it's something we just have to deal with. We were all noobs at one point anyway.

Hi everyone and thanks REMaster for this topic.

About what crisis said, he's right : but when we entered the video games world in 1990, we are less "noobs" than when we discovered video games in 2001 or 2002...

Personally, I consider myself as a "noob" of actual video games generation. I don't play any FPS, soccer game, actual RPG and wargames, and I don't play either sport and car games. As you can guess, a very few actual games are interesting for me ! Just hardcore games, like Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry for example.

About RE4, here is my point of view : I played all bio hazard games, even recent railshot, except for Outbreak. Good games, very enjoyable. My best was the first. But RE4 was such a great experience, that I loved it. RE5 was less interesting because it was way too easy, but still a good game with less RE inside.

DragonSlayr, the developers of the game honestly thought Sonia was from the 1600's. I swear. Though I suppose that would be a good thing since if they would write Sonia back into the canon they should place her in a different time period anyway.

The thing I found stupid was the whole, "A time when there was no Belmont

Oh, don't I know it too! Yeah, they weren't thinking straight when they penned this out, were they? A belmont from the past and future were sent to a period in time when NO Belmonts existed..? Really?? That's one hell of a paradox we got here! No Belmont from the future could exist if there was no Belmont from the current time to fill the roll. And since there was a Belmont from the past then the current timeframe would naturally have a belmont in it, and round, and round, and round we go-- God christ, beat the writer with an intelegence stick.

Resurrection was a terrible game, according to what I've seen and read. Not sad it got canned. The art director was a pompous douche too.

I loved Maverick Hunter X. I was really hoping for more but nothing! The anime cutscenes and stuff though, I can do without. Game was awesome though. I'd rather a console remake though.

Same here. I really wish Capcom would continue MHX, because it finally seemed like all those plotholes in the X series would be filled in. And speaking of Capcom, am I the only one who wants them to remake the Breath of Fire games on the 3DS? Because, seriously, III was the first RPG I've ever played, and to see that remade would be awesome in my book. The PSP port was just a waste, IMO.

Castlevania Legends remake would be nice, something to fit into canon at least.

That would be pretty neat. Instead of completely removing her from canon, IGA should just revamp Sonia's story and put her into a different time period so that she could fit into the timeline.

I think the Dave Cox should be the one to reinstate Sonia, because she could be Gabriel's future wife or cousin, and he would just do a better job unlike sexist IGA. Oh yes, a Cox-controlled Sonia would make me & many fans happier, unlike IGA who makes life miserable >=(

I think reinstating a non-character in a non-canon game is kind off missing the point.

Oh god... I would hate this. I don't want her to become some sub character in another's story.

I definitly do NOT want to see Sonia Belmont being reduced to a "Sub-character". It's just not right. She deserves waaaay more credit then Konami gave her to start with and even Mooooore recognition then IGA would ever allow.

Am I the only one who just doesn't like Sonia that much? When Belmonts have the character depth of paper, it's hard to get excited about a character with as cruddy a sprite as hers :^/

I didn't really dig her design either. If she were in a new game, she'd really have look like a totally different character for me to be happy, but then it'll be like, why not just make a new character? Well, I guess it wouldn't be that hard since they could just keep the blonde ponytail.

I lied.
I guess I exaggerated a bit about hating her design. It's just okay. Most of the hate comes from the anime.
