the first people talking here sayed lot of things not make sense, the graphics are the best of a portatil castlevanias in the history, the history is the more emotionant, the music is same of lords of shadows so is again excelent, and it is the more fun, and the heroe is not pretty boys, they are warriors, every thing of mirror of fate is perfect.

please see i am not writing the name of igarashi because the leader of the forum ask me to not talk of igarashi because i hurt fans, but they insult cox games all the time, no mater.
i must resignate people never will see the truth of cox best games.

@cecil-kain:
I mostly agree with your vision of the game.

But I have one doubt, and it's related about something you said.

Do you think buying the game will mean for Konami to keep making more portable Castlevania games and not buying it will mean for the portable Castlevania franchise to die? I ask because I'm not sure (by the way, I was one of the players who bought it, and while I didn't like it a lot, I didn't sell it; it's a Castlevania, and I'm use to keep all my games).

I was thinking that, but there's also the possibility that, because of players buying this kind of game, that Konami will never again make a pure "ClassicVania" or "MetroidVania". That was my doubt. Some fans talk about not buying it, purposely, in order to make Konami react and go back to the previous formula. But, as you stated, that could mean that Konami no longer cares about portable Castlevania games.

It's a hard choice. I will always buy them and play them, no matter what, and I don't like what I get, well, bad luck to me, I'm not who decides what games to make. But I always wonder what the reaction of fans will achieve.

I'd like to see more input about this, because I still can't decide which is best for Castlevania.

If you like it, buy it. Thats the way to go. A plenty of fans spent money in Megaman and look at it now. Try to not follow other people feelings and words blindly, thats my advice (it counts for everything, even this post).

Yes, it's not about what I will do. Thanks for the answers, anyway.
I will always play them, no matter what, and if I don't like what I get, I will wait for the next one.

My doubt was mainly about what is best for Castlevania, not from what I do, but from the total sales. It's better that Mirror of Fate flops in sales, so Konami will go back to older formulas? Or it's better for Mirror of Fate to sell hundreds of thousands of copies, so Konami still makes portable Castlevania games? I'm not sure about that. Could Konami abandon portable Castlevania games if one flops? Or will they change formulas until they nail it and get what they want?

I hope they go for the last statement that you said, or else we won't be seeing any new vanias on portable devices.

Sadly the chances of them doing so are very slim at best. Publishers are pretty hard-headed these days.
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.
^^
You are now reading this in Robert Belgrade's voice.

Then Lords of Shadow 2 just takes a big, semi-solid, smelly, pea-green dump all over everything.

I've answered that too. lol

A plenty of fans spent money in Megaman and look at it now.

While its not Konami doing, its a game company (Capcom) doing. Buying it or not dont will change their next project unless it related with LoS. Cox literally said that Castlevania isnt Akumajo Dracula, so what happens with this game will not influence anything LoS unrelated anyway,

I hope we'll see Akumajo Dracula again.

Would Konami bring the project development back to Japan?
