@cecil-kain:
I mostly agree with your vision of the game.
But I have one doubt, and it's related about something you said.
Do you think buying the game will mean for Konami to keep making more portable Castlevania games and not buying it will mean for the portable Castlevania franchise to die? I ask because I'm not sure (by the way, I was one of the players who bought it, and while I didn't like it a lot, I didn't sell it; it's a Castlevania, and I'm use to keep all my games).
I was thinking that, but there's also the possibility that, because of players buying this kind of game, that Konami will never again make a pure "ClassicVania" or "MetroidVania". That was my doubt. Some fans talk about not buying it, purposely, in order to make Konami react and go back to the previous formula. But, as you stated, that could mean that Konami no longer cares about portable Castlevania games.
It's a hard choice. I will always buy them and play them, no matter what, and I don't like what I get, well, bad luck to me, I'm not who decides what games to make. But I always wonder what the reaction of fans will achieve.
I'd like to see more input about this, because I still can't decide which is best for Castlevania.
