I hope that dude's coffee table is pretty durable.   Mighty commendable flippage.

Anyway, I heard about Grant being able to throw daggers right off the bat in the Japan version and then I found it odd when I got the axe and he was still only throwing daggers while grappling and could only throw them with up+attack while standing or jumping.  In the US version though unfortunately starting with a stabbing dagger rather than throwing as a normal attack and you can't attack without a subweapon when grappling, you automatically throw the more powerful axe instead when you have it.  Sideways it arcs.  Downward it goes straight and of course through enemies without disappearing like the dagger.

Gotta play by different rules when replaying a game.  This time I'll try to get all four characters to Dracula's throne.  Each will follow a different path.

This time, the rules I'll play by are:
- When meeting a new character while already playing with an earlier encountered new character, create a restore point before deciding to take the new character or leave them behind, and note which character will be left behind.
- When there's a fork in the path and Trevor has a partner that he has not "ditched", it is possible for them to "split up".  Create a restore point, and have Trevor take one path, have the other character take the other path when possible.  Then "ditch" the other character (don't use them).
- When all lives are lost, record the password.  Then "switch" to playing another character, either by loading a restore point or password for where they were last.  When playing as another character, don't use Trevor.  Cycle through all characters that have been encountered in this manner.
- When defeating a boss or reaching a new area, it is optional to switch characters.  If a restore point is not being used for anything else, a restore point can be saved to save the current progress.  Otherwise, kill yourself off and save the new password.
- Any character can "rest" at any time (don't play their game for a while).
- If one character is having difficulty clearing an area, it is okay to keep continuing them without switching characters.
- Between splitting up at forks in the road and going separate ways when encountering a new character, try to cover as many paths as possible.  There is no back-tracking, so some paths might not be covered.
- If looking at a map of where all these paths lead and converge, it's possible for Trevor to "wait up" for another character who had taken a different path to reach the stage where he is at.  Don't play Trevor's game until the other character has made it.  Once they have, Trevor can be used in their game again, until they have split up again.
- Only Trevor will work with a partner.  If a non-Trevor character who is going it alone encounters another character, they can follow the same path, but each must clear it separately.  Trevor can switch between his partner as long as he has not ditched them.
- Because only one restore point can be saved at a time, it may be necessary to retread some portions of a stage a character has already cleared occasionally.  It's okay to use restore points "cheaply" if possible when retreading ground already covered.  Try to have all the passwords you might need available.  A password can be recorded at any time that a restore point is "available" by creating a restore point, killing yourself off, recording the password, and then restoring the restore point.  Or use a name that you can find passwords for in game guides.  Alternatively, to avoid a potential restore point conflicts in the future, it might be a good idea to "kill yourself off" when reaching a new stage in order to grab it's password.
- If so desired, different characters' games can be run on different devices or platforms.  One could be on the Wii Virtual Console, while another on the Wii U Virtual Console, and another on the 3DS.  This could reduce the amount of password-entering needed when switching between characters.
- Keep playing until all characters have reached Dracula.  Once they have, have Trevor partnered up with a different character for each of Dracula's three forms.  Use restore points liberally when switching partners after defeating one of Dracula's forms in order to get them to the proper point of the battle.

I know exactly how that person feels... >.<  For a long time I hated CV III's Death fight for the life of me. I'd get soooo pissed off I would cuss out loud at the screen.

Triple shot and boomerang make Death a lot easier. Second form just meanders in a pattern back and forth, sometimes moving one way more than the other. If you have these items, you're doing pretty good at that point.

Oh I've got a good method of my own for dealing with him since the little prick was asking for it for the longest time. But I don't use the boomerang. It's the triple shot and the axe. The axe is nice because of it's arc that can hit both the sickles and Death at the same time. Death's second form has also been known to block boomerangs but he gets no satisfaction from the axe. So I just carve that bloody ingrate up like a roast!

Yeah Boomerangs bounce right off the giant Skull, unless you throw them away from it and they pass through the skull on the way back.
But the Axe subweapon, HolyWater subweapon, and the Flame spell are the best for dealing with it.
The LightningBolt spell could be good but it doesn't track the skull's movements well, so it often ends up missing.

In fairness the Lightning spell isn't too bad. The skull is big enough and it's movements almost encompass the whole screen so it's bound to be hit but the spell one way or another. I find using the holy water to be tricky since Death has to be hovering around the floor or platforms in order for the stuff to work on him successfully. His skull would be easier to tag with holy water then his first form considering the size difference and path of movement.
