I'm not sure if the rare replay is worth it...seems like it takes a while to download stuff :/

Oh, the download times are atrocious. I don't understand why the games are just not on the disc.

Some people would love to support the devs if possible and do things the legal way, especially if the game is new and especially if the game isn't expensive like it has gotten for classic gaming.

Emulation is alright in some ways, for myself it's how I built up a collection of around 1,121 legit games, either physical media, or through PSN/Wii VC. I was able to use it to playtest and find out what I missed and liked, but a lot of these games will never see a re-issue.

Exactly this, pretty much. I only emulate if I'll never ever be able to afford a game (like how some NES or SNES games are running up to freakin' $1000 now), if they were for a region-locked platform and weren't localized in North America, or if I need to English patch them.

But I like actually owning the game in some form or another, especially since I'm not that big on playing games on my computer.

The only Rare game I really ever remember playing is Perfect Dark, and that was on an emulator. Amazing game though, and I feel it still holds up pretty well too.
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

I'd get it if I had an XBOX.  Heck, I might even go so far as to get an XBOX for this if I had any money X-P

I've only ever played Battletoads, Jet Force, Banjo, and Snake Rattle 'n' Roll.  Loved all four of them, though Snake Rattle 'n' Roll is seriously bizarre.  Jet Force Gemini is one of my favorites though!  I still have my N64 cartridge, still play it sometimes, and have beaten it more times than there are save files (7 I think?).  I never could get a perfect run on Floyd's first mission though, therefore never getting the Cybug for multiplayer.  That lone achievement is all that keeps me from absolute completion. >:-[   :'-(

Quite a few of the other games on there are awesome too, though I haven't played them.
