Good God, those screens really look like CRAP.

Sorry for not having anything constructive to say.

I'm usually pretty open about Castlevania games and how art directions go...but I honestly have to say half of the designs for this game are just  horrible.

But I'll give it time to brew...maybe I'll like more of them as time goes on, but for now this is a tentative future purchase.  Art style can really break a game for me sometimes. x_x

I'm really hoping they'll have alternate costumes that are of there original designs....but I'm not expecting it. I will give it some more time, see what else they can cook up, and without question, I will buy this game
What a horrible night to have a curse!

I think Death Note is an awesome series, with an awesome in-world artwork. I have all volumes of Death Note at home, and I have collected all released DVDs with their respective figurine as they have been released in the USA. I also like Hikaru no Go (artwork my same guy) for its art style and story. I am collecting the manga as we speak.

I do NOT like the crap I am seeing on those screenshots. I am not liking the fighting concept and I am NOT liking the direction Igarashi is taking the series. To put it on iRATE gamer's words "WHAT A BUNCH OF DIARRHEA DICKWAFFLES!" or AVGN "I rather eat the rotten asshole of a roadkilled skunk and down it with beer" (I don't drink nor endorse drinking). Discuss.

The good thing about this game: it'll totally bomb and IGA will get fired.

It's funny how some of you say the game will suck just because of the art design.

Or do any of you have any other inside info about the game that has convinced you it's garbage? Please share it with us!

I've just checked the screens from the game and i have to say that they don't look like castlevania in any way. It say's Maria but she doesn't looking like Maria, it say's Alucard, but except from the hairs, there is nothing to remind Alucard. Dracula is horrible. All the game is so colorful and cheerful like an animated cartoon series from Jaoan for little kids. First DoS and now this one for Wii.

I just wonder, why IGA is so obsess with anime looking characters? I can't say that i don't like anime, but anime doesn't get along with Castlevania games. They are perfect for series like Valkyrie Profile and RPG's and not for horror games and gothic like the Castlevania series.

In general, if the game didn't looking so anime and bright, i could buy a Wii just for this game, but after seeing these screens, there is no way that i'm getting a Wii for this game, since it's going to suck!! :P

Well this is unfortunate. The screenshots look so terrible, it hurts. I don't understand what Iga was thinking. How could he allow such awful character design? I really don't quite understand his thinking. Why does he like anime so much? It's not Castlevania! Though, I'm content as long as Order of Ecclesia isn't ruined by Konami's stupidity. :P

On the contrary, Rondo of Blood featured anime art & it's highly regarded as one of the series' best titles.

IGA obviously isn't taking this game too seriously due to the silly designs and nature, so neither should any of you! Atleast the producers have the balls to try something different, & I give them credit for that.

Because other than the cutscenes the game has still CV-style. The sprites and everything, you know. But Judgment is completely... Fantasy Fighter Castlevania. With kyoot loli-girl Maria and sexy bishie Simon. And Sephiroth-Alucard.

Agreed Crisis. Why is everyone so pessimistic? Have any of you actually played the game? No, I'm sure you haven't. So, other than the artwork and a couple of screens, we have nothing to Judge this by. Why don't we wait till the game comes out, and then we can bash it all we want, hmmm?

I think I said it before. I simply hate fighters other than Smash Brothers. They are all like imma-mash-teh-buttons-now-and-win. And, well... On the screens it looks just like that. I can hardly imagine, that collecting hearts will change a thing.

When this game comes out, i'll buy it and put it on my toilet wall and use it as dart target!!!!

Seriously, that's the only use that i can think for that game.

I got a leak about Judgement's plot.

www.merqinfo.cn/ja/2008/07/10/castlevania-judgement/

I think that's exactly what will happen.

Do you think so too?

Anyways, the gameplay is actually exciting. This is the second time we'll see iga try a new game style, and the concept sounds interesting. This will prove wether Iga is just a hack who happened to land a good team for Sotn, or he actually is an able designer who had a one-off trying to make 3D exploration games.
