well dracula may have a second form but it maybe a final battle where you can never unlock it, eg cod dracula fights normally the first battle, the second battle has to load, load a new stage and new dracula model, its not a transition as it was in sotn and rondo, so i think it'll be a second form just locked out from player use

Yeah, that would make sense. Like Giga Bowser from Super Smash Bros Melee.

I wonder which second form they will use. I think they'll probably use Order of Ecclesia's Dracula second form just because it's the most recent. I wonder what it will look like...

but dracula's second form is usually consistant now, since castlevania 1 actually, its always been winged demon, so it could be order's or dxc's which i felt was just ultimate ghosts n goblins final boss, lol, but the keep err throne room is very large which could mean his second form might be very large as well, it should be

Anyone else think this game looks repetitive?

i do but i hope that when the game is explored more, Mind games will rule the day. But yes...it does look rather repetitive.

Ya, it's all Simon, Dracula, Alucard, and Maria in vs. mode.  How lame is that.  They better have more for the final version.

It looks repetitive because fighting games are by nature repetitive.

Also I like the art style because it looks like deathnote.

Death Note's artwork is great, but it doesn't belong in Castlevania.

I'll have to agree with Beacons here. Fighting games are repetitive by nature. Most fighting games are alike in one way or another. Some form of button and directional combination create moves. Everyone knows this.

The difference here?

Look at Judgment's shown repertoire per character and now look at... oh I don't know... the 8 pages of moves per character in Virtua Fighter; or the 6 in Soul Claibur.

This fighter is going to have to be simple since it's controls are based off waggling the Wii-mote. Therefore the canned attacks will get repetitive very quick, and there likely won't be that much freedom for combos.

Also from what I've seen, there's no down attack in Judgment; which means you have to wait for your opponent to get up before you can hit them again.

I don't think it's a very good move either to make the big attacks cutscenes... that's stepping too far into DBZ territory. And based on the already short move list displayed, the fact that those big attacks are going to be seen often means they will be that much more annoying when you have to wait 8 seconds for them to finish.

I also heard the Zombies explode into poison gas if you kill them. This is easily one of the stupidest ideas I've heard yet for the game. The zombies can ALREADY follow, grab and hold you should you come into range; NOW if you choose to kill them to get them out of the way, you get poisoned for it. This discourages the player from interacting with them at all. I can see it getting annoying just trying to avoid them. The only good thing is that you could potentially use them against your enemy if you're quick enough.

On a side note, Maria does look to play very different from the rest of the cast. And her animation is easily the smoothest... Too bad she looks like a loli'tard. It also seems she's overpowered from what I've read about people's impressions when playing against her.

dont forget its a beta, and when i played powerstone back in the day, if i remember right it was exploring in isometric view most of the time, and the fights were what replaced the classic rpg fights, so i dunno i could be thinking of a different game, it was on the same disk as doa2, if i am right tho, as said "castle mode" will let you go threw the game and find items for your character, weith this means unlocking their classic costumes, is to be determained, so far we've only seen the VS mode, so i
d like to see weither or not the "castle mode" is true for sp were you get to explore again, note tho in one of iga's recent interviews he was basicly speaking how konami gave hima
