Oh yes, so totally ignorant am I that I wish for my favorite series have some standards of quality. I just bitch for the hell of it. Completely. You found me out. Kudos.

I never said any other CV game wasn't meant to generate money. Of course that's the point of every game - to make as much money as possible. However, there tends to be *other* points that game developers strive for, such as making a really awesome game and taking their time to do so. If you go through any game franchise and look at every game in said franchise, you can probably pick out which games actually had good amounts of time and effort put into them, and those that were hastily thrown together just to pump out a quick buck.

I love fighting games. I love Castlevania. I do not like Judgment for multiple reasons that, believe it or not, go beyond just craptacular character designs. I also think it's ripping off several other much better fighting games such as Soul Calibur. I also don't believe in Konami's ability to produce a fighting game of quality because they have no real experience with the genre. That, and what is the percentage rate of adventure/action games that were turned into fighters that actually did well? Super Smash Bros. is the only one I can think of. Does that mean Judgment will epically fail automatically? No, but that's my assessment thus far.

Honestly, if Judgment is an awesome game, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. However, I sincerely doubt it based on what I've seen. I really worried about whether it was going to be Ecclesia or Judgment that was going to suck because it was almost destined that one would have more time put into it than the other given they're being released weeks after one another. Why not space them out by a year and put more time into Judgment and make it awesome?

Why do you think it *won't* fail, hmm? What gives you such hope that you think it will take off swimmingly? People keep asking me why I dislike the game thus far and think it will fail.....but why does anyone else think differently, is what I would like to know. I may be cynical about the game, but I have more reasons than one as to why I think so.

I should have made it clearer. Sorry.
I'm sorry!  I thought you were talking to me!  It's fine.  But erm...for those still interested in the class: we're giving out free pimp hats and canes. Serio, for your suggestion, you get one for free.  :P

here's a better idea.

download the game, burn it on a dvd, then break that in half and melt the remains with fire. then delete the iso.

that way you not only not support konami to make more games like that and have your fun destroying it, you also spit them in the face and say "your game's not even worth pirating"

:o

I Like the way you think!

Well if no one here gets it for what ever reason...I'll let you guys know how it is....around christmas time. Unless people are touting it as a next step in fighting games come release time, I'll put it on my list of stuff i want for christmas.(I.E. i don't have money for non-critical games)

Thank you. It's nice to know there's another person out there that thinks as I do.

The game is meant to generate money by Konami. It's obvious, and anyone who thinks it's actually meant to be anything other is deluded. If Konami gets said money from people and fans, then we're giving them full reason to continue to make crap money-maker games. Do any of you want that? Honestly?

You want a fun fighter game with Castlevania characters......go play Serio's game, or wait for his full version of it, because it's bound to be much better than Judgment. Nice CGI aside (I do admit, the CGI is nice)...Judgment is not a game meant to be a heart-stopping game meant to challenge fans. It's about money, which I think is a insulting slap in the face to Castlevania fans everywhere.

Uh huh.. I think most things on the market are meant to generate money for a specific company. Damn Konami for trying to make money! GRRR! How do you know the game is crap? Have you played it already? Please, enlighten me on this situation. I understand if you think the game is GOING to be crap, but don't say that before you've even played it.

I'll admit, I don't like most of the character designs, but that isn't enough for me to merit this game "crap" before I've actually played it.

Ah c'mon! Just accept the fact that this is how the Castlevania characters look now! It's not like this is the first time they've changed the design for someone like Alucard. The change from Dracula's Curse to Symphony of the Night was WAY more drastic than this.

I like that they actually change the costumes every once in a while. So STFU already.

I don't want to sound like a prick, but don't you mean to say that it is ripping off Power Stone?

Is the Power Stone Collection for PSP any good? I'm thinking about getting it, but I dunno.

Anyway, first there was Power Stone, then there was nothing. Then all of a sudden there's Judgment AND that Dissida game which both seems to play pretty much the same. The ideas behind both games are essentially the same anyway - have heroes from different time periods (or even different worlds) duke it out on teh 3D battl3fieldz!

Though the Castlevania crowd is arguably harder to please than the FF fans, as evident in here.   ;)

I will not rest until I see Alucard go head to head against Sephiroth and prove which emo-tastic mama's boy is superior.

I don't know if the CV fans are harder to please than FF fans. I hear a LOT of Nomura fans complaining because Dissidia's depictions of certain Nomura characters are being designed(by Nomura, no less) to have some Amano influences in their costumes. You have a whole bunch of people whining that they don't want Cloud to have various beads and bangles, and they would prefer him to be dressed like he was in Advent Children. I, personally, love Dissidia's art style. How Nomura's redesigning his own original characters to fit in with the Amano characters present kinda unites the series through style. God knows there needs to be unity, considering the greatest schism seems to be between the Old School/Amano fans and the New School/Nomura fans.
