So.... does anyone have any ideas on what Vlad was doing between 1094 & 1476?

How the hell did he manage to avoid the Belmonts for 300 years? The timeline that came with PoR says he's been absorbing the power from all of the slain vampires, but where was he at?? 

I don't think his Demon Castle existed yet, or maybe it was in the process of being forged?

We all know he went berserk after Lisa's death, but what could've been his motives 150 years before she was even born?

Maybe he was only 50% evil. Maybe Olrox was an ally of his!

Or he could be mentioned in a future title set during that time period. Or maybe he can be the protagonist in his own game (not to be confused with the Sorrow games)

We don't know that he avoided the Belmonts for 300 years, only that IGA hasn't made a game that fits into that time frame yet.

I would like to see some gaiden games though and that might be the best period to explore that!

He was in hibernation like Alucard did all the while aging and gettin stronger and plottin his plots to rule the world.

Thats the most likely case anything that comes about later in a game or is explained as havin happened as part of a game or somethin could be taken as a break or interruption from that sleep. =P

After LoI he only hated God, he had nothing against humanity.  So he made himself immortal to defy god.  He gained power with age, as is common in most vampire folklore, and I guess killed other vampires?  I don't recall seeing that anywhere.  It was when Lisa was killed by humans (not god) that his vengeance against god spread to humanity.  It says in the japanese Cv3 manual that he made a pact with an evil deity (most likely Chaos) he gave his soul, as well as his son Adrian's to the deity in return for ultimate power.  And that is when he became the Dracula you see from Cv3 on.

I just checked it.  It says that every time the Belmont's kill a vampire Dracula gets stronger... What?  That has to be a translation error.  It just makes no sense.

Dracula has his crimson stone which absorbs vampire souls and turns them into power for him, like what he did to walter. i'd guess he either follows the belmonts or has death do it, collect the souls of killed vampires and offer to drac.

Eh... it still doesn't make that much sense.  Dracula following them around?  Or even Death?  LoI's ending lead me to believe he was keeping a low profile and hiding.  And also we already know the translation was a little screwed up, they call Grant a pirate... which was completely made up in the american version of cv 3.

it's known that the crimson stone is used to turn humans into vampires and to give vampires more power though.

and hell, i guess death doesn't even have to follow anyone. i mean, he's death. he is the last one everyone sees when he comes to collect their souls, belmonts included. he could've used some of those souls belonging to killed vampires to power mathias up.

It just seems to be a significant reach...  I would hope that he couldn't just send death out to get them.  That's kinda lame...

Well, I think that while Mathias/Dracula is "in hiding", he has Death capture the souls of vampires killed by vampire hunters and uses the crimson stone to become more powerful.  Then again, this may only happen after Lisa is killed by humans.
I, too, would like to know what Mathias does for the next 380 or so years.  All we know is that in that time period he falls in love with Lisa, fathers a child (Alucard), Lisa dies, and Drac (Mathias) begins to slaughter humans.  Maybe, this will be explained in manga like some stuff for CoD will be this September, though it is unlikely.
