Topic: Why Does Everyone Hate The Castlevania Adventure?

Wait...people hate Adventure??! I love it! It's slow and clunky but it's a challenge. I think I like Belmont's Revenge a bit more, but it's still a good game

CV Adventure is great.  Compared to other titles of its time, it's actually very well done.  I never had a problem with slowdown or overall game speed.  And whoever bashed the soundtrack doesn't know what they're talking about.

I know Belmont's Revenge is better, but I wanted to get the first Adventure before that.

At any rate, for a game considered to be the worst Castlevania title of all time, and simply terrible and unplayable, I'd say it's a pretty good game!

Castlevania Adventure might be slower than Belmont's Revenge, but still is a great game. The slow speed and stiff controls, they didn't bother me at all. The soundtrack is awesome, especially at stage 3 and 4 are my most favorite tracks. Now about the difficulty, it is not so hard. I'll just say fair. If you finish the game once, you can star it from the begining, having the enemies deal you more damage. If you finish the game five times, at the sixth play, every enemy can kill you with one hit. One hit and you are dead!! Even so, i did manage to finish the game and then i just got bored, because i thought that if i finish it at that difficulty, i could get something new or another ending, but nothing at all. You could play the game from the star with the same difficulty, but still it was fun trying to finish the game while you were one hit to get killed!! My only problem with this game was that it was very short. 4 stages waren't to much.

Oh goodness, this is hard. Just when I thought I was getting close to done with this game, they throw in stage three's crazy spike rooms! Then, once I finished the rope climbing one, the WALL attacks me?! These people don't give up, do they?

Honestly, the game really sucks, the hero moves like a turtle. I just like its music, Battle of the Holy and Theme from Legend of Dracula are great.

It's actually not much worse than Simon from the original. The game has some flaws in it, I know that. Still, it's a fun game, and I'm happy I got it.

I take it back. Dracula hurts. Ouch. Does anyone have any tips of how to beat him? His first form isn't TOO hard, but his second is just painful...

I just beat this game last night, and I have to say, the experience was definately castlevania-worthy but the game itself just isn't that good. All of the criticisms about this game are 100% valid.

Since you liked this game then you'll love Belmont's Revenge. It fixes all of the issues in Adventure & it's just funner to play.

That's weird. I absolutely love it. I beat it at least eight times yesterday, and so far, five times today. It's so much fun. An awesome soundtrack, fun gameplay, very unique and enjoyable levels. I'm addicted!
