Damn, the hard mode is pretty hard indeed. Some little changes make it much harder, especially if you're as stubborn as me and want to get every medal.

Ah well, I made it up to Dracula's Castle within five quarters.

Each area is SO unique

Naw....Tymeo Mountains & Tristis Pass are similar, just different colors. Same as Mystery Manor & Giants Dwelling, different enemies & color but same layout practically, same could be said for Kalidus Channel & Somnus Reef.

Beat the game today and well, is a good game, but the music and the map design is a let down from previous games. Maybe I was expecting too much.

Well, it isn't on par with previous games like SotN. Not that we should have expected everything to be great. I mean in terms of CV games, there is either great gameplay and ok music or it is the other way around. Either way, one suffers.

well i find if all areas were larger it'd havce made ti a better game, the outside areas seem too small, the only large level is the castle

Oh geez, has anyone snooped around Gamefaqs lately? It's like the site secretes some kind of chemical specifically designed to promote ignorance.

Every time I see someone state that PoR is better than OoE, it makes me want to puke. Not literally, but you get the point.

Though seriously now. OoE had a notably longer development time than that of PoR, and it really shows. It baffles me how PoR-goers lack the capacity to see this.

Ok, I have a question: what is the point of the boss medals? Do they have a specific function, or are simply for bragging rights?

Btw, I have everyone except for three: the crab, the water demon, and Dracula.

also well, it's possible they're just butthurt because of the difficulty. portrait was so easy i could beat it with my eyes closed and playing it with one finger.

that or the story is too dark and depressing for teh kiddies, they want their animu heroes and saturday morning cartoon storyline with happy ending.

It makes me so happy that when this game had leaked screens everybody hated it and thought it would suck and said such terrible things about it....but it's amazing, and really, on par with SotN

I wouldn't say its on par with SotN, but it's certainly not as bad as people were assuming it would be. I'd say its a very solid good title.
