Would you buy a Castlevania "box set"?

Think about it. Most movie series that were popular back then as well as the occasional video game are getting box sets to have them all right there.

Now, Castlevania has a LOT of games. Some games people don't even have access to most of them. Wouldn't it just be extremely convenient to buy a sort of "box collection"?

Like, all the games right there so that you can pop them in and play, maybe done in 4 or 5 discs, with Disc 1 being all the 8-Bit Castlevanias plus Vampire Killer and Haunted Castle and the handheld 8-Bit games, Disc 2 being the SNES games, Bloodlines, the GBA and DS games, Disc 3 being the two N64 Castlevanias and Castlevania Chronicles and Dracula X Chronicles, and Disc 4 being the two PS2 Castlevanias (If it's possible to fit them into one disc, otherwise have them each on two discs).

Think about it, this would possibly be the most convenient collection ever for Castlevania gaming. It would probably do well to sell such a box set for the Playstation 3 or PC since the PS3 has Blu-Ray and can possibly fit the larger games into one one disc and everything else into one disc, or PC since computers pretty much outlast everything and you never need to worry about buying new consoles or anything.

An entire set like this would most likely be a smarter idea than just re-releasing one, two, or three games at a time in the Chronicles series.

I would definitely buy this. The only downside is that this would probably be expensive as hell.

I'd totally buy something like this, even though I own just about all the games.
What a horrible night to have a curse!

Such a gift would only be available in Japan anyway. Still, I'd most definitely import it!

TOTALLY A WORTHY BUY.

And have it on the Wii; else you'd have to remove the DS games.

I would prefer that they just release all the past Castlevanias on Wii VC, XBLA and PSN.  That way you can buy the ones you want for $5-$10 each without having to spend a ton of money on a box set that includes games you may not want, or that you may already own.  I would not want to spend $100+ dollars just so I could play Dracula's Curse and Rondo of Blood, while the discs containing the PS2 games sat collecting dust.

Why would the DS games have to be removed?

I'd buy it. I also bought the CV Douple Pack (HoD + AoS on one Module)... mostly because it was still less expensive than AoS alone.

Why would the DS games have to be removed?

I think it has something to do with the fact that Dawn of Sorrow relies heavily on use of touchscreen with the ice blocks and seals and such, and Portrait of Ruin requires use of the touchscreen for various things as well. Order of Ecclesia doesn't really use the touchscreen except for like one thing, and even that one can be avoided completely.

But I'm sure there could be a way around that if the DS games are included in such a thing as a box set.

Hells yeah, I'd buy a box set. It's Castlevania!

Even though I own pretty much every game now, excluding Vampire Killer (MSX), the Kid Draculas, and Haunted Castle. (I'll buy Judgment when it's budget priced.)

Konami hasn't done anything like this in all this time, why would they now?

The closest things are: CVs 1-3 on PC; HoD/AoS double pack; and DXC.

Konami has claimed problems with legal mumbo jumbo barring the way to such a collection. You know, IGA says he wants to, but that he can't.

.... Then again... he said the same thing about bringing Rondo over....

Still, If Iga could manage to convince the higher ups at Konami that such a collection would be a worthy investment, they'd probably do it.

Going by the interviews, he doesn't seem to be all that good at persuading the higher-ups. A shame.

nah, it's so big here it would be stupid of konami of america not to bring it over. Capcom did that for megaman and megaman X and those both sold well.
