Have you seen the move she does with the Tiger? It flies... and last I checked Tigers can't fly either. If you are gonna say something like that, atleast consider, that you are talking about a video game with vampires, magic whips, and mummies. There is obviously more, but that should be enough to make a point.

But doesn't her owns hold her hands? Making it really hard and difficult to turn the doorknob and opening the door?

..... but,.... wasn't there a metallic barrier intersecting the spikes? I wonder how she got past that... when she left. If it was entering, she could've just flew in through the window.

she could just bind them to her back with a rope and use them as propulsion. ;D

well there you go, you just answered the question. she used her owls to fly around the spike corridor in and out using the windows. alucard had to show he's the man though so he went and walked through them and broke them with his sheer manliness.

then she could just walk out since alucard smashed all the spikes before. and go around the barrier through the windows, or by using her awesome "go through walls" plot ability.

Well, in NitM, she has an invincibility spell.  I know that it isn't cannon, but that is the best explaination of her getting by the spikes.  As for the metal barrier, she could have found a relic that could do something to metal allowing normal humans to pass through it.  And before anyone says that I don't know what I'm talking about, I would like to remind them that it's entirely possible.  After all, Maria was wondering around the castle before Alucard even got there.  So, she could have found such a relic and the only reason Alucard didn't find is that she go to it first.

flying around through the windows with owls explains a bit more though. like, how did she get past the hippogryph even though she was just slightly ahead of al, but hippogryph didn't even notice her.

imagine fighting the hippogryph and as you're about to kill it you see maria flying by outside the window with the owls. ;D

Not quite serio. Go through wall plot ability >.> There aren't any windows in that corridor, were there? I only said that is because she actually walked out the room instead of jumping into the background, adn otu the window when she leaves.

So it's possible that she ran out of the room and then went out the window near the glowing door.
