Wondering about the storyline (Dracula's Curse)

Last night, when I was trying to sleep actually, I was lying awake wondering about the storyline of Castlevania and came across something that sort of confuses me. To put it simply.. Mathias Cronquist's wife Elizabeth dies, and for this Mathias wants to take out his revenge on God. To get his revenge he goes to and underworld and during some point becomes the lord of darkness, and then returns to the living world (Dracula's Curse) and declares war on mankind. But during Dracula's Curse, Alucard is already about 18 years old..? So that means over 18 years before Dracula's Curse, Dracula and Lisa were in love, because if I remember correctly from Symphony of the Night, he actually did love Lisa.

But isn't the war in Dracula's Curse his way of avenging Elizabeth..? Or has he completely forgotten about it and lost his mind to evil? And where the HELL would he ever have met Lisa if he was in the underworld, preparing a war against the world?

400 years should have been more than enough time for everything to happen.

Becoming a vampire, and obtaning eternal life, this was his revenge agaisnt God. Killing humans and waging his war, that was for Lisa's death. They are separate.

Or you can accept the very real possibility that Elisabetha -- Not Elizabeth, mind you -- is in fact Lisa. Considering the bang-up job Igarashi-sama has been doing with overall story continuity, this is not outside the boundaries of reason you know.

350+ years passed since loi. year 1470.

drac: hey death, i just had a great idea.
death: yeah?
drac: can you revive my dead wife?
death: sure.
drac: ...why didn't i think of it sooner?

and elizabetha came back to life. 30 minutes later she was mobbed by villagers when she went outside though and died.

The way the story has been progressing, especially after AoS and DoS, I think Elizabetha, Lisa, and Mina are the same soul just reincarnated.

Well, to my understanding, the concept of soul mates is that you fall in love with someone based on something with there soul.  That being said, assuming that Mathias and Elizabetha were soul mates and my definition of soul mates is correct, it shouldn't be surprising if these three women are the same soul reincarnated.  I could be wrong though.

Haha, poor bastard :P

That's actually a pretty cool theory! And it makes sense too. I wonder if the sequel of SotN will bring up anything about Lisa.

This year there is a new castlevania coming out for the PS3 and Xbox 360.  While next to nothing is known about it, it seems from the vague preview trailer that it's going to be a sequel to SotN.  The evidence is that the only character the trailer shows is a 3D version of who appears to be Alucard, but evil.

Why does everyone have to be reincarnated as a jap. Worst part of AoS's story. Possibly the worst part of CV's story in its entirety.
