Honestly if it's out of warranty and you know enough about computer hardware, all that's wrong when the RROD happens is the thermal paste on the processor's heatsync is burnt up. You can grab a tube of the stuff at any computer tech store for less than $10, smear it on, and boom, working 360 system.

I don't recommend it if your knowledge of computer tech is amateur at best, though.

Are you serious? There's no excuse for things like hardware failures on what seems to be 75% of all their consoles. Oh, and this "Jasper" chip stuff makes no difference at all. It's just something that M$ spewed out of their disgusting holes in order to sell more.

Honestly, I bought my 360 before I bought my PS3 and between the two, I must admit I only buy PS3 exclusives and fighters for that system. Everything else I tend to get on 360 just because I owned it first. It's not even a matter of achievements or anything, I just love my 360. I love all my systems, in fact. I can't pick which one I prefer over another.

Also Rugal, it's about 33%, not 75% =P I know it may seem like that, but then again, it seems the only news you hear about the 360s are the failures, just like the news you hear about anything else, like plane crashes or whatnot.

Haha, what PS3 exclusives (meaning there's hardly any).

But yeah, despite that I hate M$ for their faulty hardware, 360 by far has the best library out of the current gen systems.

33% is still an unacceptable number of console failures. I also have yet to see an exculsive title on the 360 that interests me. The only one that I was going to consider was Ninja Gaiden II, and now since a better version of it is coming out for PS3, what's the point?

PS3/Xbox have all the same games, save for a few exclusives which doesn't make a whole lot of difference.

Yeah, PS3 and Xbox do get all of the same multi-plat games, but the quality of first and second party titles on PS3 > Xbox.
