The technical difficulties and IGN/Gamespy's forum debacle for the last 8 months to a year have certainly contributed to that problem.
This new forum will not be showing up on a Google Search any time soon. Successor is correct in that a "Castlevania Forum" search brings his forums to the top of the search. In the past, however, we would show up for a "Castlevania Dungeon Forum", not just a "Castlevania Forum". Even that, now, does not work, though, since it brings up the forumplanet/gamespy one. As for the "130,000 more posts" post count, we lost about four or five months' worth of posts on the server switch, since we worked off of an old backup. If we are doing a comparison now, then the numbers are somewhat misleading. That is, unless Successor has been keeping tabs on forum posts for the last four months or earlier (this thread managed to make the backup and be on top, from what I recall, and it's from June 01)...
...but I don't think Successor would do something so childish and petty though. I give him more credit than that. Kurt and I are certainly not checking other sites for popularity and google searches, and I don't think we will be starting that any time soon.
I will say this, though. If Nagumo did invite him to a Castlevania Forum, with the state this forum was in for the last few months, it's not only understandable, but quite encouraged that he would mention Successor's forum. There needs to be more a connection between the developers of a game and its fanbase, wherever that fanbase may be.
