I know it's a reboot for fuck's sake. Chill out. As I've said time and again, they can make whatever timeline they want but when you have recurring characters, it's hard NOT to connect the story somehow.

I just heard something on 4PlayerPodcast about this game about that QTE kill on the Warg being optional?

He said that when the Warg was on the rock getting ready to attack, he just said "forget it" and tap L the moment the cutscene was over.

Then the Warg looked at him for a second and a message at the bottom screen said "it sensed your intentions." and he had to take down the Warg's health the old fashioned way.

So can anyone confirm if QTE kills in this game are all optional, cause that would be pretty cool.

Recently IGA reinstated these three titles as sidestories into the timeline, he said so in a Japanese gaming magazine from 09. Source can be found at the Japanese wikipedia if you don't trust me. CotM and LoD have also been hinted at to have happend in several Castlevania media lately. Not that this really matters though but I guess that shows that even IGA goes out of his way to shoehorn some games into his timeline. Not that that is a bad thing but I believe those three titles were also meant to be AU's. So you never know what IGA does with LoS. If it could fit. Which it most likely can't.

I think we can already assume that Carmilla and Cornell are both Lords of Shadow. Compare the trailer with newest screenshots (you can check them out in CastleKeeper's Gallery if you want, just click the image in my signature) - there's always a pillar of blue light in the place where we meet them. What's most important - in the trailer we can see a fragment of the mask slowly falling from the sky in such "pillar". We also know from previews that Lords of Shadow themselves have those fragments...

So in the trailer we probably see their last moments - they give us some piece of information, fight with us, change into stronger form (I think Carmilla's one is this with long claws), die in epic way and a mask's fragment appears.

There's also this thread about control over humans' souls. Gabriel will probably gain a new power from every Lord of Shadow (we can see him gaining wings in the trailer - that reminds me of OoE, I loved those ). From trailer we know that those powers are "the key", so that's probably what Dracula or someone who will become Dracula wants Gabriel to do - gain them all and bring them to him.

Any other speculations?

I don't Cornell is a Lord. He seems to give Gabriel some kind off warning at the end of trailer (You do realise it's a trap, do you?).

His human form looks kinda strange. Well, at least it fits the game.

I don´t think he´s an enemy either.... or at least, not by his own choice.

Just to point this out right quick, but Carmilla (the book) was written 25 years before Dracula.
If they made Carmilla and Laura older than Dracula it could be reference to the above fact.

i think they only show one lord of shadow, that guy who seems like dracula luaghing.but im not sure if he`s dracula, seeing carmila i can imagine it more "aristocratic"...
About cornell, you know "love, a force so powerfull that all reasons becames blind" so i guess gabriel have some "troubles" with the order in an part of the story and cornell is obiusly part of it.may be the order can hold a part of the mask to, reward of old battles agains lords of something.
About carmilla i think she can be the vampire who got cross/empaled in the trailer so probably is a boss and also very probably she holds another piece of the mask,but dont think she is a lord of shadows, i gues there will be 1 vampire(dracula)1 lycan(who knows)and another one maybe death but diferent "race" of other 2 lords.Anyways only speculations

I remember seeing that someone who saw the Konami Gamers Day trailer said that Alucard was in the trailer, even though Cox says he's not in the game. I think maybe the guy in this new trailer in the shadows with the long hair could be Alucard. Maybe we'll find out for sure before the games released.

Not only cox, another member of MS said that alucard isnt in the game but i would love see him with this new western look...i dont loose my faith of a cameo anyways till i can see it for my self playing the game :S

I don't think Death will be LoS. It's probably a being that will be only a servant to real Lords of Shadow. Those, once humans, now monsters, closed a way to Heaven with some dark pact (might be with Death... or something worse ). In the trailer, when the mask piece is descending, the circle on the ground is already broken and blue light disappears. Maybe every LoS is guarding this kind of seal, or whatever that is.

I imagine that's Dracula, who tell the line about "bloody tears". Maybe he isn't even LoS? Maybe he wants to trick them and gain their powers?

He HAS to be. Slogra's been confirmed, so there's no reason Death shouldn't be there also.
